s3 - Scion Skate Show - Sep 18 2005 - SPFLD MO
Hey all - just a heads up from the STL Scion crew - we're rolling out at 8am, expecting to be in there around noon latest. Don't start the judging without us! Looking forward to meeting everyone... Should be a killer time.
The s3 was awesome. At least 50 scion's were there, and with the early day rain, we got some great practice drying our cars! I dried 3 times and went through 6 towels, but luckily someone loaned me a squeege; that thing was pretty cool. Anyway, I had a great time and hope to see everyone again soon. Congrats Darren on BOS!
Yeah, Darren won bos, dude from stl won best tc, can't remember his name. It was the black sand pearl one with the stripes on the side. I thought the guy from Arkansas with the kamanari ground effects should have won something. But there were lots of great cars......
First off I would like to thank Scinergy OZ, Scinergy KC, STL Scions, and Alex Millen from Scinergy IA for breakin' some nexks today. Oh, sorry...yesterday. The turnout was far beyond what either shorberg or I had imagined. KC and STL rock...and so does Alex. I just can't get over what a great day this was (despite the rain and loss of power).
We owe a great deal of thanks to Reliable Scion and their staff, all the owners clubs, Springfield Skate Park and staff, DJ Imperial, Q102.1, GameCorps.net, Life Essentials, Papa John's, Coke, the great skaters, Cinamascope, and anyone who had anything to do with this event. Thanks to all for thier hard work. I had an awesome time and hope ya'll did as well.
So...here are the results of the car show.
Best of Show - Darron Cathcart - Scinergy OZ
Best xA - Scott Elam - Scinergy OZ
Best xB - Brooks (blackwidow2) - Scinergy KC
Best tC - Eric Siers - STL Scions
So Fresh and So Clean - Mark Gullett - Scinergy OZ
Should Have Flown Award - Alex Millen - Scinergy IA
The Fujiz Best Engine Bay - Alex Millen - Scinergy IA
Best Female Owned Scion - Jennifer Fender
Peoples' Choice Award - Bob (to late for last names, sorry) - Scinergy KC
Thanks again to all that made the trip and hope ya'll made it home safe.
Peace,

Peace,
had a great time! The weather could have been better, but then again it could have been worse. Anyways it was nice to meet everyone from around the region. There are some real nice scions in the midwest. I would like to thank the organizers, staff, and sponsors of this event. Hope to do it again sometime. Here are some pics for those interested-

Great pics Matt! It was really good to finally meet you and all the STL folks. I hope to see you many times next summer.
I'll put all my thanks in the other thread.
I don't know how many times I dried my car, but synthetic chamois and water blades are the way to go. Also good to remember is to NEVER stop drying your car! I think the judges came back to look at Brooks' ride 15-20 times (LITERALLY). Also also, I learned that I need to leave the windows up and the hood down until the judges come by. That was a real PITA too!
Pics will be in the other thread too.
