Who's got that 3-point line on lockdown?
If spectating is more your sport, you should still come out on game day to show and prove, and see for yourself what the Scion buzz is all about. We've collaborated with the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Divisions of the US Military to build an interactive entertainment park to bring out the kid in you. If you are a licensed driver 18 years or older, come and put Scion's car-building skills to the test on our ride & drive courses with a Scion xB, tC and xD. You and your family can enjoy some hard earned R & R on the basketball court and in our interactive park where handpicked Scion DJs will cut and spin a Hip-Hop soundtrack for the day.
Balling, Driving, Gaming and relaxing - this day is all about our troops.

The tour dates for Scion Slam events?
See tour schedule.
Who Can Play?
Scion Slam tournament is open to all authorized MWR Patrons (active duty, retired military, reservist, National Guard, DoD civilians and other Department of Defense ID card holders including their spouses and family members). To be an eligible player military personnel and family members must be seventeen (17) years and older, family members under 18 require guardian approval. (Must turn seventeen (17) years old by date of tournament).
All players are placed in a Coed division.
What do I wear in the tournament?
Jerseys are not provided, nor are jerseys required to be worn by players. However, we do encourage teams to wear their own jerseys to make it easier for all parties involved (referee, your team, & your opponents). A Scion Slam tee will be given to each player who participates in the tournament.
How is the Tournament Set-Up?
The tournament is setup as a single elimination tournament with maximum team allowance of 64 teams. Once all entries are received via web-site they will be collected and entered into the tournament single elimination grid (available for viewing from www.scion.com/scionslam)
How many players can be on team?
Each team must have three (3) or four (4) players on their roster and be registered as a team by the predetermined deadline. Players may appear on only one (1) team roster for each tournament. Any player appearing on more than one team roster will be automatically disqualified from participation in that tournament. Must have at least 3 players to a team to register, however, a team is allowed to play with 2 players, if one on the team does not show on tournament day.
One or more of my players won't be able to participate. Can I replace them with someone else?
Yes. All roster changes must be made in the registration tent during the check in time between 8am and 8:45am on tournament day.
How many games is each team guaranteed?
Scion Slam will be scheduled so that each team plays at least one (1) game. See the Rules for details.
How long is a game?
All games will be to 16 points or 30 minutes.
How do I register?
You may register online at www.scion.com/scionslam. Registration will begin approximately 30 days prior to the date of each tournament day and end at 12pm (in the same time zone as the installation) the day prior to the tournament. Once 64 teams have registered, a waiting list will be opened for anyone wishes to register on the waiting list. If all 64 slots are not filled by registration deadline, teams will be able to register on the morning of Gameday between 8:00am and 8:45am.
I didn't get a confirmation email, so is my team registered?
If you have completed the registration process completely, you should have received a confirmation email within 60 hours stating if you are one of the 64 teams registered for the tournament or if you were put on the waiting list. To double check if your team is in the tournament, your team name should appear on the elimination grid when you go to www.scion.com/scionslam and click on the "Tournament Grid" link under the installation name where you are participating. If your name does not appear there within 60 hours of registering, check the link under that installation for the waiting list. If you still do not find your team name, send an email to the Scion Slam website contact on the main tournament page.
If I am under 18, do my parents have to be present? Can another parent/guardian sign a waiver for a 17 year old player?
If you are a family member under 18, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who can sign the tournament waiver. If you are a Soldier of the age 17 by the date of the tournament, you do not have to be accompanied by a guardian.
If I am over 18, do I have to sign a waiver?
Everyone must sign the tournament waiver, before being permitted to participate
Does each player need an ID while at the event?
Yes. Each player should present a government issued ID at check-in time, which should include your birthdate.
What is a wristband and does each player need to wear one?
Wristbands are ID bracelets that are issued by Scion Slam staff and must be worn by each player in order to play in the event. Scion Slam lanyards are issued to event attendees that do not wish to play in the tournament.
What time does the tournament start?
The Scion Slam preliminary game is at 9:00am and will continue throughout the day with the Championship games starting around 4:15pm.
Are there things to do on site when you are not playing?
Yes, we plan to have three different Scion vehicle models available for qualified event attendees to test drive, a DJ/emcee for announcements and music, a kids area with video games, wireless internet access to go onto the official Scion website to customize your own virtual Scion, a kids basketball game area and coloring. Anyone can participate in these areas, so come on out and join the fun!
Saturday - 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Will there be food available during the tournament?
Beverages such as water or sports drinks will be available free of charge. Food will not be provided. At certain installations, the sponsoring office may arrange for food vendors to be on site.

Not new, this is the 3rd tour I think. I have never been to one b/c it's never been close to me on a day I could go. Looks like this one is the same, but it would be pretty cool!
