Any club in Colorado
Generation Scion is still a club. We meet at John Elway Toyota on Arapahoe road the second saturday of every month @ 6:30.
Join more than one club so you enjoy all they have to offer.....and meet lots of folks.

Remember - the more people we can get together, the bigger the meet, the better the meet and potentially bigger and better prizes from the Sponsors (i.e. Elway, Stevinson, Burt, etc.)

1st, yes, you are right - they do charge $25 a year to be a member. And yes, Elway probably does have enough money already. But, then again, they charge $100 a year to be a member of Scion Life - which to my understanding is owned and run by Scion/Toyota. Don't they have enough money already as well?
2nd, if you purchased you Scion at Elway, membership is FREE. Included in Membership though is that the Dealership sponsors various events - including our monthly meets - where they provide pizza, soda, prizes, etc. The money is also used to fund future events - such as our Poker Run this coming month - where the Grand Prize will be some type of Gift Certificate for Parts or Service on your Scion.
3rd, before you start throwing the
emoticon up there, realize that a) you don't know me from Adam (nor do I you), b) what club are you affiliated with? and where's your website?, and finally c) it's people like you putting up stuff like the
&
that causes people and clubs not to want to work together for the common goal of promoting the Scion brand.
I have tried to answer you as honestly as I can - I hope you can accept that.

Joolie,
Thats funny. But why don't all the Colorado Clubs get together. Take the best of all clubs and make one.
1. Generation Scion - Has a local website. $25.00 dues unless you buy a car. Sponsored by Elway. www.generationscion.com
2. Scinergy - Has a national website. Always free. Nationwide
www.scinergyia.com
3. Scion Fusion - Has a local website. $25.00 dues. Sponsored by several dealerships. www.scionfusion.com
4. Scion Evolution - $40.00 dues. Worldwide. Has a national website.
www.scionevolution.com
Let me know what everyone thinks. Colorado clubs tell us everything about your club and let's see if we can't come up with one big club. I don't care if I have to pay dues I just want to have fun.

Sounds like an echo around here...
I think I've been talking about trying to get all of the clubs together for about 3 months now...
And Crash - why the change of heart (about paying dues)... just a few posts up in this post you basically complained about the $25 fee the GenerationScion.
Not trying to start a fight, just trying to understand - although I do appreciate the fact that you apparently are embracing the idea that the clubs unified would make us all better..
All the best -
Chris

C_Cubed,
I just want someone to tell me why they feel their club is best. So far no takers.
I have also noticed that Scion Fusion and Generation Scion are having a toy drive sponsored by Scion. This has made me really start looking at the clubs in Colorado. I like the idea of being in a club that does things for others.
About the paying dues. Someone explain to me what I get for the money. What are these dues used for. Where is my money going. Am I paying a dealership, is the money going directly to the club.
Generation Scion is $25. What do I get for my money.
Scinergy is free. But free isn't always good. I would not mind paying dues to Scinergy if it means they could get a website and have money to have events.
Scion Evolution is worldwide, but I heard if I pay $40 it all goes to California. I checked it out before and I know I get some cool Scion stuff. But does California give back some of the money for club activities.
Scion Fusion says $25 membership dues. On a earlier post Chipperxb said you would receive decals for your car, and other Scion stuff. The money we collect is used for events and other club functions.
So come on Colorado Scion clubs tell me why you are the best

Here's the breakdown on Scinergy Nationwide:
Scinergy is the first free nationwide Scion owner's club. It started in California as ScinergyIE (inland empire) nearly two years ago. There are currently 7 chapters of Scinergy across the US: ScinergyIE, ScinergyIA (Iowa), ScinergyNE (Nebraska), ScinergyCO (Colorado), ScinergyKC (Kansas City), ScinergyOZ (SW Missouri Ozarks area), and most recently, ScinergyGA (Georgia). We are also starting a chapter in Pennsylvania that will be titled ScinergyPA.
The advantages of being a part of a nationwide club are many fold. Primarily, it gives you instant support and credibility when seeking sponsors and setting up events. We have all done these types of things and can save you the mistakes we made which will make you much more successful from the start. Also, it gives every member of the club a welcoming extended family all across the country. This is no small thing when planning a trip, attempting to find a rare part, or even looking for a good deal on a garage door to have that kind of network in place.
Each chapter requires no dues or fees of any kind from its members. We derive our funding solely from our sponsors. Each chapter has an exclusive Scion dealership sponsor who provides the major funding. We also secure sponsorship deals with aftermarket companies that allow our members discounts on local and national levels. Each sponsorship deal is different and the details are worked out between the club and the sponsor. However, all chapters are happy to provide an outline of our own sponsorship deals to anyone starting a new chapter.
Each chapter is welcome to start their own website/message board, but the national news for Scinergy is always posted on our founding chapter's website at: www.scinergyie.com. Chapter websites include www.scinergyia.com, www.scinergykc.com, and www.scinergyoz.com.
Scinergy is also the only club thus far to organize a national meeting of our chapters. This previous summer it was held in Denver as the "Scinergy Nationwide Meet in the Middle" (MITM).
We are a free club and we WILL NOT charge dues to members. Members may, of course, donate to the club coffers (and that money stays with the individual chapter to which it was donated), but this is neither required or solicited in any way. Our sponsoring dealers usually supply club decals, apparel, and other funding for food at meets, etc.
We are friendly to every Scion that wishes to join, stock to wild and we have been family oriented as well. Several of our "honorary members" are well under driving age. Chapters are encouraged to participate in charity events (ScinergyKC has adopted a family for the holidays this year) and generally spread the joy of Scion ownership.
Well, that's about my best shot at explaining Scinergy. If you have further questions, please feel free to contact me.
-Alex
Also, C Cubed, Scion Life is independantly owned and receives no funding from Toyota/Scion (which is why they have so many advertisements and sponsoring dealerships). JSYK.

Fair enough... now that we have an open dialogue...
The dues with Fusion (of which I am a member) fund club events (i.e. food and drink for meets, our Christmas Party at D&B - fairly hefty rental fee - etc.) Yes, you get a hat, t-shirt, decals, etc. Chipper has been kind enough to make contact with Corporate and they have donated alot of those items. Access to the website to post comments, pics, etc. No 'single' dealer involvement, but Mountain States has let us take up residence there the 1st saturday of every month in there 'war room' on the 2nd Floor. Steve (the Scion Manager there) is very knowledgable and tries to attend all of the meetings.
The dues with Generation (again I am a member) also fund club events (i.e. paying for food and beverages at meets, prizes for the Poker Run, etc.) No, you don't get any stickers or a hat - at this time. Josh just took this club over as the past person running it kind of just 'vanished' - hence the statement about 'Rising from the Ashes' at the top of the Webpage there. Access to the website to post comments, pics, etc. Yes, we are sponsored by John Elway and we meet there the 2nd Saturday of every month. Tim (the Scion Manager) like Steve tries to stay involved - although, in all fairness to Tim, Elway is almost always busy in the Scion department and sales is Tim's livelyhood so he can not always be as involved as he would like.
Evolution - I will be joining soon - as Jeff and Julie (the Colorado couple from the Spings who are trying to get a Colorado chapter going) are very cool - and Jeff has also made some Corporate contact and has brought Scion schwag to a Generation meeting and passed it out. I believe you get a shirt and stickers along with website access there.
Scinergy - I have not yet met anyone from Scinergy, but I know there was some bad blood between the clubs (Generation/Fusion/Scinergy) and I really hope everyone can get past whatever the issue was and bring all of these clubs together. Can you imagine cruising the Rockies this Spring/Summer with like 100+ Scions??? I'm not sue that you recieve anything for joining, but the Colorado chapter does NOT have an active website (yet) that I know of although Baine in GA set up a Frappr page (http://www.frappr.com/scinergy/photos) that is free access that basically 'maps' where everyone is from that joins it. As far as dealerships, I believe they meet at Stevinson WEST either one or two Wednesday nights a month. Stevinson is also the Colorado 'sponsor' dealership for ScionLife according to the map here.
Hope this helps and maybe we'll see you tomorrow at D&B for the Fusion Party... I believe I saw that you asked Chipper and he said for you to come on by...
As far as Toy Drive - we can use all the Scions we can get to haul toys... Please bring a toy if you can... and hopefully a Santa hat to wear to Ronald McDonald House.
All the best -
Chris
