Local Powdercoating?
I'm looking to powdercoat my wheels locally. Also, they will need a little bit of repair from curb rash.
I was wondering what do you recommend? Obviously looking for a good price, but want good quality too.

I went to both 'Blue Flame Powdercoating' and 'Pristine Powdercoating'
Blue flame was a nice shop. Nice people. The guy spent a good 20 minutes with me talking about the different finishes and colors. There is a boatload of options. The price was ($4 x 18") $72/wheel base price for single coat. If you want to get a special type of finish that might require 2 coats, you're looking at spending another $40/wheel. Clear coat is a bit extra also (want to say $15/wheel). The sand blasting for my wheels which are required because they can't paint on existing powdercoat or the plastic enamel underneath, basically brought my total to $130-$140/wheel.
Pristine is a smaller shop. The guy I talked to was nice, offered me a price of $45/wheel to powdercoat, and $15/wheel to clearcoat. His machine blaster is not as good as it could be, so he uses a shop literally right around the corner. He sends out to them, and doesn't turn a profit on the deal. I poodled along to them and the guy ballparked me $40-$50/wheel (depending on time). So basically, I"m looking at $100-$110/wheel. I saw his work...looks really good. I'll probably be going there soon.

I talked to a girl some time ago down at Blue flame. She seemed nice. I wanted to get my wheels on my motorcycle powdercoated but I'm too big of a chicken to take them off. So they are still not done.
