Just got back from pickng up my Tc from 9secondracing and man, they did a good job. The car sits awesome now, there's no wheel gap at all anymore and the car handles amazing. Feels like a completely different car now.
And the Injen CAI sounds sooo nice. It has this little wistle if you tap the gas that almost sounds like a BOV, then if you get on it hard, it sounds mean. Has a really deep growl that starts at around 3500 RPM and then just roars. Drove it around for an hour after I got it. Final total for the installation of the Springs, Sway, and CAI was $260 after taxes. I would definatly recommend 9SecondRacing to anyone who doesnt want to do it themselves. Check them out www.9secondracing.com

Ill be coming to the meeting tomorrow at Mountain States also, hope to see everyone there.

Welcome KJ,
I am new here myself. I was looking for a place that proud Scion owners could swap ideas, tips, and even arrange meets/events in a Scion club environment.
I hale from north part of the state in Ft. Collins.
I have a new 2006 tC myself, and have begun the mods, as well. I noticed in your list of current mods to yours that you added an Injen CAI. I too have added this piece of hardware and was pretty impressed. The other thing that I have added is also the tuned Injen CAT back exhaust to go along with the CAI. I highly recommend it as Injen designed these two parts to go together. And they definately step up the hp.

Hehe funny you should recommend the Injen Exhaust, I was planning on buying it this Friday when I get my paycheck. How does it sound with the CAI? I heard that it changes the sound of it. Does it get loud at high RPM's? All ive heard are small clips on the internet.

Chipperxb,

thanks I will check it out. I will definately post some pics of my tC as soon as I get my digital camera working again!
p.s. as I get more involved with everyone here, and at meets.... I noticed a number of you all talking about which shop to have your parts installed at. I do all of my own work, have been building engines, doing body work, and restorations as a hobby for most of my life, well, as soon as I was big enough to hold a wrench, I've been workin' on them. So if anyone wants tips or help just let me know and if it's something I have experience with, I'd be glad to help out.

KJ,
the two paired up (Injen CAI & Injen CAT back exhaust) ... you want to know how it sounds? in real life, it sounds like "get the @#$@ out of my way" :D Seriously though... it really opens up the potential of 160HP plant. And has a great sound and bite throughout the rpm range. And from dyno tests Ive seen, the stock 160hp plant puts 140hp at the wheels, with these two Injen parts on, and back on the dyno translates into an average of 157-163hp TO THE WHEELS. And ups the engine hp to around 175-180hp. Pretty decent gain for the price and an afternoon to install both. I chose not to do the full CAI (I have the full kit) but in CO w/ the weather changes, if you're car's a daily driver, there are some serious risks of doing a Full CAI down into the fender.
