Haha, I avoided the Texas comments but I almost went there 
I just thought it was interesting and the only thing I could think of was the air is thinner here so your car must need less fuel to burn with that air? ( I am no engineer though)

here in cali its 87 for min, max is 91, unless you go to San Jose where you can actually get 100octane! only about five bucks a gallon! haha I was in canada last week and the offer 94 octane for like 1.04 a litre, with my turbo, things were running great!
