The Rocky Mountain "Where's Waldo?" thread
so... I was on nb i-25 (right before 225) the other day with a friend, and we got pulled over by a beige intrepid with full tint and a dent on the left side of the trunk.
I thought it would be nice to have a place where we can tell each other where the popo hang out in our neck of the woods, list the redlight cameras, and identify the undercover cars we see...
anybody interested?

I hate that..... Especially since most EVERYONE is going 75+ in the 65 zone and you get practically run over if your doing the speed limit
yep. there's another crew of bike cops that sit underneath the arapahoe park & ride pedestrian bridge on nb i-25 - you can never see them until you're on top of them. the little nook they hang out in looks like it was made for no purpose other than speed traps.
i've also seen lots of bike cops hanging out by the on ramp traffic control lights - thier bike is hidden behind the concrete guard rail, and they pop right out.
as far as redlight cameras, the only one i know of is Arapahoe and Yosemite. first time i saw was at night, and was like wtf was that when i saw the flashes goin off.

My girlfriend and I both will not pull over for an unmarked car with lights. Simply to dangerous. Our plan if this happens is to call 911 explain what is trying to pull you over and that you are concerned it is not a real officer. If you do this you will not get in trouble for not immediatley pulling to the side. We saw this covered on some special report awhile back. Anyway too damn scary these days people pretending to be the police.
On another note, the other day while my girlfriend was driving the tacoma she was turning left and as she was turning a cop sitting at the light to her right turned on his lights and floored it to make a left hand turned cutting in front of her and causing her to slam on her brakes to avoid t boning him. After he cleared the intersection he turned off his lights and mosied along. WTF!?

That's a good point! You can't be too careful with so many reports of fake cops out there.
The only red light cameras I know of are on 104th, its littered with 'em. They are on104th & Huron and 104th & Melody at least

maybe he doesn't have insurance?
anyhow, it looks more silver now that it's washed. but he's still a pig.
LATE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS LONE TREE
Gets really sneaky and they like to put A PC on the on embankments of the on ramps facing the highway hidden by the overpass they tag you going under quebec on C470
I know most of you don't make it up to Fort Collins too much, but there's a few redlight cameras on College...all sort of speed traps around campus, and like Ed said, around the State Patrol Station on I-25.
There always seems to be cops once you start entering the metro area on SB I-25(about Northwest Parkway) and around the area NB I-25 where the lanes go from three to two (after that it's ALMOST smooth sailing until about Greeley or even Fort Collins)
