Where did you ground it?

I found a nice spot, behind the driver's side kick panel. I think thats what its called. There is a metal bolt behind the panel. Not the plastic one holding the panel. Just thought it was a good easy spot for a ground.

I don't think it can happen, but maybe the flash got corrupted.

Whats your AFR? I don't remember if you have that hooked up yet or not.

 

I don't have side air bags...that knocking noise is really freaking me out though

I can't hear it coming directly from the motor but when im inside the car the noise is perfectly audible

 

If that knock is coming from the motor. I would be scared to even let it idle.

You might need a reflash.

Hose from valve cover to the intake manifold still attached to both?
Temperature is fine?
Oil Dipstick is fine?
Bad O2 sensor?

I have no idea what it could be.

 

if its a sort of tick, dont worry about that sound...something is just in the way of the bypass..or something is vibrating against something else in the engine bay. this is the same issue i had. it happens in idle, and its constant ticking right? and u only hear it from inside the car right? i didnt know exactly what was hitting wut, but i took out the bpv to see if it was that, put it back, and it went away. i guess i moved w/e was vibrating out of the way.

 

jack up the car immeadiately and get under neath the car...

1 (and i hope its this) ur spipe from your mmw header or somewere along your mmw header is hitting something on the car..check also the oil dip stick and see if the bolt is there which holds it still


2. listen to the motor and see if the noise is coming from the motor.. ( this can be done by just lifting the hood...


if anything lift the hood of your car and look around to see/hear were the knock is coming from.
