Turbos are not illegal, except in the state of California, I think. They have CARB regulations and all this other BS over there that we dont have here....yet

true, unfortunately it wont be very long until all 50 states will share the same CARB/Smog rules as cali does. you can thank the "going green" motive. i think they're trying to pass a law as well for the future that will requires all cars/trucks, etc to get at least 35MPG..... hell if you own an SUV right now and bring it to a dealer to trade it in for an econobox, they'll laugh at you and tell you straight up "we dont take those anymore." unless its a lease which then they wont have a choice.
