Default Car wont start, stuck in naples, help!

OMFG..... My car died today as I was driving..... I was shifting normally from 3rd to 4th at low rpms and the engine shut off. Fortunately I was close to where I was staying at and was able to push it 1/4 mile to my driveway.

I turned off all electronics and tried to start it. There seems to be plenty of power, I have 3 voltage meters and they all show at least 13volts. The engine just does not want to turn over. It sounds normal when I try to start it, except the engine doesn't start.... Any ideas?

I've tried to jump it off another vehicle. I took off the positive and negative wires off the battery. I gave the car 2 hours to relax in case it's a female and PMS'ing.

I can't believe this is going to be the damn thing that keeps me from going to vip... I'm so ____ed. Any ideas, please call me 407-353-3682. I'm stuck here in Naples Florida and have jury duty monday.

thanks,
Joe

SickleCell - so sorry to hear of your dilema is there any shop around that you can call and see if they can help you, one thing if you have intake it might be the oxygen sensor, which you would then have to diagnose? Do you have Intake?

Ok, check the air flow sensor in the intake and check the O2 sensor........was it raining up there?.....how fast were you going and where is the intake located, do you have a short or long ram intake?

I have the Cold air intake (long). What am i looking for when I check the sensors? Do bad sensors look different? There has been no rain. I was driving 35 - 40 mph and had just shifted from 3rd to 4th.

I recently installed headers and s-pipe. I did the job right and didn't tear up the O2 sensors. I have put about 100 miles on the headers and haven't had any issues.

Right, I get the 13v part, but if your measuring that at the battery that doesn't mean something didn't short out a circuit board or computer component somewhere. I'm no mechanic, never claimed to be, just giving you possible directions to go to check and see. O2 sensor failing seems logical too, but most things I've read about tend to lead to the ECU just fuel dumping when the O2 sensors are showing erroneous data, as far as failing I'm not sure if they cut the engine off. When you turn the ignition to on, does everything come on and can you hear the starter clicking as it trys to turn over the crank?

Start with the basics. If your car is not even turning over, stick your head in the fuse boxes and check fuses related to the starter or ignition. Next since your starter is visible from the engine bay, check to make sure all wires are plugged in an such. New cars just don't die. And this one has no real symptoms other than not wanting to start at all.

Good luck and get Don to tow you back to O-town .. lol

Thank you everyone. I'm gonna stay in Naples until Monday to get it to toyota. 3 people that I have talked to so far say that it sounds like water in the gas tank.
