Default exhaust shop

I posted this topic in the general area forums but i didnt get an answer so im posting it here in hope fro so help.
I live in palm harbor fl about 25 minutes away from clearwater beach and im looking for a reputable exhaust shop that can make me a custom exhaust for a good price.
I have some local shops that are close but i dont know if its a good idea to go to them or not because their just little crap shops. Or is that okay?
Thanks any help would be awesome!

somtimes the little crap places do the best kind of work, for not such a high price. you really just need to find places that other people have gone to. a place that is fairly honest and wont try to rip you off. doing exhausts isnt like building motors...... its not the most complicated thing. im not saying its impossible to ever have a crappy exhaust done.... but if it looks like a decent place..... im sure theyll do a fine job. its just a matter of price.

word of advise... i had a custom exhaust done about 8 years ago on an 00 cougar. it wasnt worth it. I would reccomend staying with the OE fitment, "brand name" exhaust options all throughout the internet. youll do the work yourself, which really isnt hard. but youll get all polished stainless pipes for much cheaper than a shop bending the stainless themselves would be.

I found a place that my buddy goes to and the guy there has a garage for repair and another for custom racing exhausts. Im gonna check it out he says its legit.

I always thought a custom would be better? I can get the right sound, look, and power i want rather than a already built one. Cuse every exhaust ive seen and heard im not 100% in love with it.

The thing is with custom is, usually the fitter wont put flanges on anything. So if you dont like the sound or whatever..... youll have to have it cut, and re welded. You wont know if you like it or not until #1 its complete, and #2 until you drive it. Once you pull away from the shop your going to need to pay $ . So if you dont like it after 5 min, you cant just bring it back and tell the guy to change something free of charge bc you dont like the way it sounds. At least with interchangeable exhaust parts, you can swap them out failry quick and easy if you dont like them. You know what i mean?

Yeah good point i was worrying about that but im also just worried that if i buy a hks or greddy tic exhaust (the only 2 i like) I wont like the way they sound.

I checked out this guys tc today with a megan drift spec and i didnt like it. The rasp was too much and ive heard the 2 exhausts sound almost identical
