I just called the Dealership about it and was told that they had some Toyota reps there and for an extra $75 (out of pocket) they will replace the motor with a BRAND NEW one that comes with a 12 month warranty as part of some Service Assurance Program. W00t x infinity.

What intake would you recommend? I have been looking at the perrin intake, any thoughts on that? Thanks for any help... sorry did not mean to threadjack. congrats on insurance covering you. I had the same thing happen at about 50k miles and the dealer covered it thank god.

I only got an Intake because I had money to burn in the Paypal acct. I would recommend against them. It doesn't help performance, just allows you to hear the suction & valve noise. But if you must have one, the shorter the better.

Good to see they worked fast. Did you end up getting an all new engine with that $75 extra?
