me and my gf are thinking of moving to florida and we were wondering what are some good places to live near or somewhat near the ocean, and maybe around the orlando and melbourne area? i just applied for a few jobs in that area so i need some help guys thanks.

 

Well welcome... one thing, if I were you I would look for population and economic index of both locations and counties so you can see which one is moving quicker in terms of development and cost of living. If you can choose, then choose what goes with your lifestyle. Orlando and Melbourne are about one hour away from each other and are completely different. It would be good if you could visit befoere choosing...

Well Orlando is a very good place...lots of places to live in the orlando area..especially going towards where i live in winter garden which is close..many new homes being built out my way..

but melbourne is nice 2..been there couple times but make the right choice! do what u think is best

 

Daytona beach area is nice and onlt an hour from Orlando, but it has miles and miles of beach.

 

thanks my gf has the idea of clearwater anything good or bad about that place and oh yeah looking for a place with how do i put it low crime, rape and death. She is one that worries about moving to a place and it turning into the ghetto lol

 

clearwater a very nice place...go there all the time for the beach... very nice beach..dont know to much bout the area but the beach ahhaah

 

is the comunity rundown or nice and is there much ethnic diversity ?

 

jacksonville is not too bad...lots of growth, new companies comin, etc.....

I live in Tampa, just a short drive away from the beach in Clearwater. The whole Tampa area is growing like crazy now with lots of opportunities to be had. Clearwater is nice and you also have the option of Tampa, St. Pete, Brandon, etc. etc. that are all within about 1/2 hour from the beach and near lots of jobs.

No state tax in Florida so your check goes a little farther...

got any ideas on any jobs that are or might be looking for a truck drive or any web sites that i can look at that will have some local fl jobs in that area ???

well iam hoping that in a month or so i shall be heading down to clearwater moving and i cant wait to enjoy the sites and sounds of every thing to do there and all the car shows. plus i am hoping that some of u show me around the cities and car shows.

 

I live on the Gulf coast, below Clearwater. Clearwater is expensive, so be prepared. St Pete isn't bad either, but you have to watch your "neighborhoods" anywhere. I live in a small town, and the drugs are starting to get bad, so we are moving this summer, to next town down. Everyplace is the same really, alot of traffic, alot of old people and housing costs are ridiculous. I wish you luck, in whatever you chose! All counties have online job searches, just look up what county you are interested in.

Hey got a question so how the weather down there when it rains does it flood and what about the hurricans are they going to be really bad this year or not? and oh yeah thunder storms how bad are they really, are they bad enuff that everyone has to get undercover or they will be hit by lightning? Ok so we were thinking clearwater as the place to live now my gf thinks that if anything happens to the weather that the town will flood and bridges will be some what non useable where in florida can a person live that will not have to deal with some of those things and still be safe. need help or i will not be able to move down there. thanks guys

 

i live in clearwater and work in tampa one great place to get a job at in fl is a dealership i mak 40k a year and im 19 got into them about a year ago but anyway u should check out clearwater beach the sand is imported and is white it stays mildly cool too real nice beach there are only a few areas to stay out of one is south st pete but theres not much to do there so not to hard to stay out of and yes there is alot of ent. its fl bro the weather is great real warm and barely ever rains and when it does it only rains for like a hour and then the sun comes back out hurricans dont hits us really the go around us we on get the winds and rain not really alot of floods but the waves get real cool when they come in thats were im at but good luck to u bro

 

Melbourne Beach for life
