ok heres the deal i am in afghanistan now going home the end of this week. i bought the trd supercharger from trdsparks.com and had my dad take my TC to the dealer to get it installed so i can get it by the time i got home. so heres the deal i had to call the dealer cause they said i needed the stock intake because right now on the car i have the injen cold air intake on my car. they said they couldnt put the kit in unless the stock intake was on. and i cant put my stock intake on cause its back in storage in kansas cause thats where i am stationed at. does anyone know where i can have it else where installed so they can just leave my injen intake on short ram ofcorse? if anyone knows please let me know thanks!

kinda off topic but i was in Ft. Riley not too long ago and now i live in tampa. so what unit are you in? and if i was closer i would just give you my stock one. sorry and good luck with it!

 

The Technician at the local Toyota / Scion dealership is correct that you need the stock intake for the supercharger. The aftermarket intake is shaped in a manner that blocks the installation of the Supercharger. Also make sure that your Scion has Premium Unleaded gasoline in it prior to the installation of the Supercharger kit. The Supercharger kit requires the use of Premium Gas.

 

(JODASH) yea i get that i need the stock intake but alot of people on here have the injen intake on the supercharger kit. i mean if it gets in the way for installation they can take it out... but whatever i dunno i guess i will have to find another place to install it! at i just need help to know where.

as for you (wozman7 i used to be in 1-13th armor now i am in afghanistan with 70th engineers! what unit were you in? and by the way i will be in the tampa area for halloween scream if thats what its call around oct 12th! thanks for all the replies!

 

i was a mechanic for Aco. 125th,i'm sure you know them,we were in iraq with alot of 70th and we also had armor on our little camp in iraq it coulda been 1/13th not too sure. well sh*t if you are going to howl-o-scream i'll see if i can still find my intake and i could meet you there in the parking lot and just let you have it. i just got my pass for that and will prob. go tonight so let me know when you'll go and i'll try and find the intake.
