Default Moving from the PNW :)

Hi everyone! I thought I'd pop in and introduce myself, I'm Allie and it looks like come the end of February / early March I'm packing up my worldly possessions and dogs and heading to the opposite corner of the United States. I can't keep living without diving so I'm trying to find some without leaving the mainland again.

So, Hi and hopefully I'll see you guys and gals soon

Pete! I didn't know world wide was south Florida! I am looking at moving there gimmie gimmie on the advice on where to move! I may be making a trip out there to poke around buuut probaby just going to end up signing a lease from here and hoping it looks good, I'll take whatever help I can get!

Broc- It's just the diving. Tired of the dreary weather in the PNW and I don't want to move back to Guam but I want to get as tropical as I can while staying on the mainland. I also just recently found out that my grandpa had two sons that I didn't know about (meaning I have two uncles) both of which live in South Florida so it'll be interesting to meet them.

So if anybody wants to tell me where I can find a SAFE place to live for a grand-ish close to good diving and not ugly (I'm a girl and I like pretty things) hook it up!

And Pete my M.I.A status can be attributed to my overall unhappiness with the turns the local scene has taken over the past few years, too much drama and such. I'm hoping that goes away when I move

I have no idea where palm coast is lol. I was thinking the Miami area but I have a Pit Bull and I'd have to leave him here with my dad if we moved since they're illegal down there sad.

But all in all I think we are still looking towards the Miami area just not downtown as I REALLY don't want to live in the middle of a big city again. My husband is coming with me and he's a mechanic who is just going to transfer with his company and they have about a million shops in Florida so wherever we decide to go they'll find a place for him.

AH HAH! So You're the secret behind.. is it Annies Pizza run? I hope I didn't just butcher your mothers name. Seems like I'm making a good choice with going to Florida I haven't had anybody tell me they hate it! So you AND Brock already live down ther and Benilda and I are both moving to Florida... so that makes 4 scion owners from the PNW isn't that funny?

How much (ish) is it to get tint done down there? I live in Washington now so obviously I really haven't had a need for any dark tint and I'm trying to decide if I should get it done before I head down or after I get there.

Best diving in Florida starts at Palm Beach and goes south from there. Thats were the Gulf Stream comes in close to shore and the water is clear. The farther north you go from there and the Gulf Stream is way off shore and it takes a while to get to clear water and then depth is an issue. There are some great springs to dive in Florida also.
