Sound system not turning on

Default Sound system not turning on

I have an aftermarket sound system and it wont turn on... it all happened when i put in a new cai... i disconected the battery ( where the problems at) to do the installation.. i dont know what to do to make it work.. im thinking to take it to best buy to check it out ( where i got it installed). What should i do?

The most likely problem is that your system's fuse was blown. This will prolly be an inline fuse on the power wire of your stereo. You can check the fuses in your car - under the dash and in the engine bay.

Does your car Start? Does the Radio come on, just not the Amp(s)? Check all the fuses & then check all of the connections, and then take it back to Best Buy.

I agree with ^^^ all except for the part that said take it back to Best Buy. I personally will never take anything to Best Buy for installation after my first install. To make matters worse, half of them don't know what the hell is going on though they will argue with anything you say.

Maybe it's just the Best Buys around here, but I would venture elsewhere.
