Get the D3000 as it is the replacement of the D40, a nice beginners cam.

no shiz dum but.. but the d3000 sucks there is no real big difference from the d40 and the d3000 some minor differences that arent worth the price look up ur shiz before u say shiz. d3000 is basically a d40, u can get a d3000 on ebay brand new for 479.99 or best buy for 499.99 looks like a d40 u can get for $400 shipped

i have been doing my own research, as i always do, so you cant really discredit me on that. i just know very little about cameras. and as a matter of fact, i watched those two same exact reviews. but like i said, i just know very little about cameras. a lot of what is said in those videos is like chinese to me
