Kinda random, but i had to pick up my dad at the dealership and ran into this

I didn't expect to drive one today but I did. :D
It was the asphalt manual model, I almost walked out with it.

ahh man, if i woulda test drove it i dont think i would have been able to leave without it lol

Any input on power, accel and overall performace?

Power was more than enough (coming from a 1st-gen tC), much more responsive handled well, accelerated great. 6spd performed much better, which is to be expected somewhat. I did however think the transmission blips (simulate a MT) of the AT was a nice touch, something I did not expect to see.

So you drove an automatic one? im curious about the paddle shifters

The trans blips arent to simulate a manual trans, it's to rev match the engine to the transmission before shifting, and reduce wear/not upset the chassis

I drove the manual, and it was a blast. It shifted so smooth and they were solid shifts. I had no problem downshifting and rev matching. I really like the way it sounds at 7k :D hah but super fun car overall.

was the throw short pretty short as they claim? or a short shifter is still recommended? i want to test drive one!!!
