Default How many Sl'ers signed up for the first 86 lotto?

Just wondering how many of us on here signed up for a chance to be picked as one of the first 86 owners of the FR-S. While we are at it, why not share what color and transmission you picked?
Cheers!

Firestorm , 6spd manual

Let's get a count going

I'll go first: 1

Did we get a MSRP yet? I might have to sell off one of my 4 vehicles Its a shame because I love them all. I'd hate to get rid of my EP3 SI, but.. alas, thats the oldest vehicle I have, and first to go. And I just got a brand new godspeed turbo kit to install on it this winter. Sigh..

Registration is closed now. I hope the MSRP is $26k or less. With a trade in I could deal with that. They said if we're chosen we'll find out in 24 hours. I wonder if they're distributing by region or what?

I think your chances of MSRP being below 26k is HIGHLY likely.

I was going to enter but i didn't because would prefer to wait and see if the RS1 on it will be any good. otherwise If i was not interested in the RS i would probably get a firestorm, manual.

I considered that, but besides yellow, green, and purple, they have the basic colors covered. And I want the TRD aero, so that cancels out waiting for a RS lip kit. Wheels are going to be changed, I want the quad exhaust, going with coilovers, and a special interior doesn't really matter.

My mind was made up when I saw this one. But letting go of the tC will be tough. Maybe I can come up with a down payment by the time they reach the East Coast and keep the tC...

i like the spoiler on that one but i don't like the front lip where it is black on the sides that comes off of the fog area. the way it wraps around to the bottom, looks weird to me, especially the way it looks like it is going forward but then angles backwards.

imo this (TRD? or just toyota?) one looks better, the sideskirts look exactly the same but the rear is not a full lip.

I did it. It's not a commitment to buy the car just a fun promo they are doing for the first 86. I got an email saying I was on the wait list. Along with 20,000 other people . . .

I got the wait list email too. They should have given existing Scion owners first dibs.

Long-time lurker here on SL. I actually got on the first 86 list. Got the email this morning around 10am or so along with a call from Scion Corp saying I have 96 hours from when I received the email to contact my preferred dealer to pay the deposit and get everything in order. I got a Whiteout automatic, but since the price isn't released I'm VERY unsure about going through with the deal. I have an 08 tC with 27k miles so I'm hoping that with my trade-in it'll be ~10k out of pocket.

congrats!

and there isn't much to worry if you end up not liking it or whatever. the $500 deposit is refundable and you can see the car and test drive it before anything is set in stone that you are actually buying it. it is more like having dibs on the car.

^^ what he said. If you don't like it I guess the dealer offers it to the next person. I don't understand how they'd expect people to get financing information without having a price.

from how i read the info they provided, it doesn't work like that.
true you have to put a deposit down, but like normal that is only so you call dibs on that car.
once you are going through to actually buy it, whether right after pricing is announced or after you have test driven, then how your going to pay gets done.

when i got my tC, i ordered it and knew i was buying it (and price was known obviously) so I took care of financing before it was even in the states.
with my xD, i told the dealer what i wanted and didn't take care of financing until after i had seen it and taken it for a test drive.

You know its a $23,700ish price on the car.... you should of expected something in that "neighborhood" . Your looking more like $14-15k out of pocket all said and done. So no options, total out the door price should be around $26500 or so.

I knew a lot of people would be tire kickers on this thing, all I can say is I wish one of the legit scion people would of gotten the offer. Getting a car before everyone else, has some serious "VIP front of the line" type possibilities with sponsorship.
