How many Sl'ers signed up for the first 86 lotto?
i signed up for ***** and giggles, but now i am on some imaginary waiting list. i probably wouldn't buy it since once you add tax, options and delivery it would likely put it close to 30k and i am not selling my b8 audi.
Long-time lurker here on SL. I actually got on the first 86 list. Got the email this morning around 10am or so along with a call from Scion Corp saying I have 96 hours from when I received the email to contact my preferred dealer to pay the deposit and get everything in order. I got a Whiteout automatic, but since the price isn't released I'm VERY unsure about going through with the deal. I have an 08 tC with 27k miles so I'm hoping that with my trade-in it'll be ~10k out of pocket.
I knew a lot of people would be tire kickers on this thing, all I can say is I wish one of the legit scion people would of gotten the offer. Getting a car before everyone else, has some serious "VIP front of the line" type possibilities with sponsorship.

If you guys saw my post on another thread-
If you didn't; here it goes....I ran into a sales manager at one of the Toyota location Carmax last Monday. She mentioned $22k when she was trying to sell me on one.
Sorry, need something with a tad more space. I'm already in 25k loan and I'll never ever will I spend that much on a Scion in my lifetime.

I highly doubt a carmax manager has info a regional scion managers don't have. i have a friend who is a regional scion manager and toyota will not release price to them. Your carmax manager is probably just trying to land a sale. not to mention carmax isnt affiliated directly with toyota so i don't think she is a reputable source. no offense intended to you my dude. I hope she is right it would be awesome if she is. 22K is a deal for this car. esp if you can use the military or college grad discount then you get it for 21K and thats less than a RS series tc is.

I signed up for the First 86 within the first minute that it went live, didn't make it into the top, though. Pretty ironic considering my history with Scion and the fact that I have never actually owned one, haha!
I think was more of a random lottery than actually being one of the first 86 to sign up.
