In Japan, yes. Sumitomo Rubber Industries owns both Dunlop Japan and Falken. Sumitomo has a 25% ownership stake in Dunlop, with Goodyear owning the other 75%.

It wouldnt keep me from buying one if these, but Im waiting for year 2 or 3 of production to purchase.

In 2 or 3 yr of production, it probably still won't have steering wheel controls. It's designed that way. To be a "drivers car".

Ya never know man. The tc got radio controls after 1 model year. Also with the brz having them I could see this being an option at the least.

Funny the BRZ followers hate the steering controls on the Limited model. You know the limited is also $27,540.

they didn't put the steering wheel controls on the production BRZ, they were only on that one pre-production model.

they were UGLY AS SIN anyway. i don't have any problems with no steering wheel controls, even after having the tC for going on 7yrs and on the xD too.
If i get an FR-S, steering wheel controls are not a big deal.

The Limited edition BRZ will have the steering wheel controls. As someone mentioned, it's near $30k ($27,495 MT or $28,595 AT) That's without the $750 destination charge you have to pay. FR-S price already has the destination charge in it.

I think I am getting the fr-s for sure. Military discount takes a grand off the top. We will see thought. I am still planning on waiting one model year for sure.

I didn't know that not having steering wheel controls equated to "driver's car." I thought it was the fact that the car was cheap. So let's see, Ferraris, ZR1/Z06s, M3s, 1Ms, etc aren't for driving enthusiasts because they have steering wheel controls. A good quote I saw from Autoblog: "FRS/BRZ... ultimate excuse car." So far it's been true.

Here comes the troll again...you quote one line from one review source like its the common conception about this car. There are like 15 some odd reviews that do nothing more than praise it. Even Top Gear loves this car.

^ So that means that I should and everyone should love the car too? Get real. You should prepare your excuse list whenever lap times from popular and known tracks start appearing for the FRS. I'll like to hear why it didn't beat non driver's cars around a driving track.

You act as if someone said it's a R35 or M3 killer. If you'd check your comprehension before you posted, these back and forth spats could be avoided.

Apparently that's what we all think as well as all the automotive journalists according to Mr. Monkey. I thought it was obvious that a car that's only 300lbs lighter than a tC1 and with only 40hp more isn't the fastest thing on the market, be it straight line or track. But what do I know?

They did more making fun of hamster than talking about the toyota... they sure seemed to like the car a lot...

@jon comprehension of what? buying a car before test driving it? or paying $26k for a slow car? You're right I don't have any comprehension of that because I took the right route of owning a small rwd quick car. frs owners are gonna get walked by K swapped Hondas haha.
