Should be 0-60mph not ft.
Aside from that....
MotorTrend
0-60 - 6.2 seconds

When they tested the BRZ
Unsurprisingly, the BRZ, which measures 9.4 inches longer and around 2 inches wider and taller than the Miata, proved a hair quicker, scooting from 0 to 60 in 6.4 seconds (versus the Miata's 6.5) and through the quarter mile in 14.9 at 95.5 mph (versus 15.0 at 90.2).

Shops are already motor swapping Lexus ISF motors (400hp), EJ25 (600hp) and already there is a prototype HKS supercharger for the factory motor (250whp low boost)....and we haven't even been able to purchase the car yet! There is even one planning to be 2jz swapped.
This car is a platform you can leave stock, or when you go to purchase, will already have a wide range of options to mod. So shut up already and go troll the Miata forums and explain to them how a Miata is a worthless car to purchase since it has a mid 6.0 0-60 also and cost $27k.

AMEN! Thank you...
So, as mentioned 0-60 is mid 6 to low 6. People forget that this car is using a really low grade tire to introduce the "fun" into it.
Still pulls a .92 G on these tires which is amazing for such a low grade tire.
what's up "rythm", got used to 60ft from drag days. this is a so cal track, so it's good to see numbers for that track. i know how strong support has been for this car, "BUT" #'s sell cars, and i figured they would work them better in stock form. weight to hp ratio = expected, more like hoped mid 14's
I would imagine, that after the engine break in that the car would be 14's all day. Keep in mind that none of these test were with a car that was fully broken in. And they all were on the low grade stock tires. Most of us after wearing out the tires will probably put a little more grip on it. Some probably won't wait that long, as the first mods are springs/coils and wheel/tire setup.

ok back on track now
you know someone else brought up a good point that edmunds was using california gas, they're limited to 91 octane, where motor trend was using 93 octane. I think I tend to believe that the computer de-tuned the engine for the lower octane of california. that would result in a slower 0-60 time.
Yea at the Atlanta show right? I almost drove down for that, but I changed my mind at the last minute.
1) It was the BRZ only and no FR-S there
2) Only if you had a hook up could you even sit in it
So, 4hr drive + hotel stay was just to much to "look" at the car. I'm hoping that we have a Nashville show and they bring it here.

Second gear on the FR-S / BRZ runs out at about 62 MPH. If you have the Toyota 86 in GT5, you can see this for yourself. There was that French video of driving the BRZ on twisty roads in Nice, and there was a video of the instrument cluster when accelerating from 1st gear to 3rd gear; 2nd gear ran out at 101 km/h (62.7 MPH).
I think Edmunds chickened out and didn't want to redline the engine, so they shifted into 3rd before hitting 60 MPH.
