Default Changing the Headlights On A 2012 Scion IQ

I thought I would post instructions on how to do this, since I couldn't find good ones anywhere.

1. Open the hood (Duh!)

2. There's a circular plastic door on the side of the head light assembly. Push it counter-clockwise (lefty loosy) to open. It may turn hard the first time, but it will come off. I used a screwdriver to get it to move. By the way, the parking light is above the door, and you don't need to open the door to get to it. Just turn the light counter-clockwise and it will come loose.

3. After you take the door off, you'll see the low beam light on top and the high beam below. Just turn the light counter-clockwise, and it will come lose.

4. Take the light out, and disconnect the wires using the quick-connect tab.

5. Reverse the process to put the new light in. (Righty-tighty.) One tip. It was easier for me to put the light in, and THEN reattach the wires.

6. They warn you to NOT touch the bulb with your bare fingers. First, it is REALLY hot if it was just lit. Second, it will do damage to the bulb.
