Damn, 16K? I could possibly see that price for an iQ Release Series but not for a bone stock one...

LuLz at some of the responses. This car is not trying to replace the damn Corolla and will be very low (probably less than the xD) production. The price is not that bad considering what you actually end up with. People that buy this car are more than likely buying it either for its size (urban driving) or just to say they have one (Smart car is a perfect example of this).

I can already predict what is going to happen. Production numbers will be low so in turn sales figures will not be impressive and the entire board will be screaming this car is failure and Scion is about to die.

great I guess you have it all figured out
they could have brought this in at the more aggressive price point they told us it would be at and have had a runaway hit...however....

Why do that when when they will probably sell well anyway? This thing is going to be sold as a premium Smart Car so it price point is not that far off. Maybe a small MSRP change to bring the price point closer to a similar optioned Fiat 500 would have been better since that is really the iQ only competition (the Spark and Smart are not even in the same league as this car) .

I'm honestly shooting for the mid 20's. This way the car will not be stepping on the tC2's toes and will be in it's own price segment. My problem is that if the car has only roughly 200HP then it better pretty damn lite to make up for such a weak sauce power plant.

I'm a bit bummed on the price, was looking to it as a potential commuter to ease the gas price sting a bit on my FJ Cruiser. I guess I'll have to look at a leased price!

Bet an STi turbo kit fits just fine though.

The price point is just wrong for this car.

I think this car should of aimed at the 12-13K area... And it would do much better. I would never pay 16K for it. I considered checking it out and trading in my xB, but after the price posting no way.
