My Scion IQ won't turn on ?!?!
Hi All,
So I thought I lost my key last night so I have a spare key which I used to Unlock the car and as soon as I did there was a LOUD alarm that went off and lasted about 15 minutes. After that , there was a weird smell and now my car won't turn on. I finally found my key and tried it- nothing happens. Well it turns and all the lights on the dash come on and my radio comes on like it's about to start but it doesn't hellllpppp. Only have 17k miles on it.

I'm assuming the key you used was the valet key? Just the regular metal key with no electronics attached to it? If you used your keyless entry key to lock the vehicle that would be why your alarm went off.
The smell and aftermath situation of it not starting is a different matter. I would have it taken to the dealer and investigated. You should still be under warranty with only 17K miles on it.
