I think Scion really nailed it with the iQ and I expect it to bring a lot of new faces to the Scion brand, both young and old.

You can deal on the Yaris, but there isn't a whole lot of wiggle room. The 3-door hatch starts at $12,600, but that's with crank windows and a CD player. That's about it. A 3-door Yaris hatch that is as well-equipped as the iQ would be roughly in the $16K range, and it won't get as good of gas mileage or be as unique as the iQ.

I think it looks good! With some nice wheels, good color paint and some suspension mods... I can see it being a blast to drive around in.
Would I buy one though? Not sure... I might not feel safe, even with 10 airbags. At least the xB could withstand another car hitting it!

That ease your mind a little? Not exactly the same as a US test... but promising for safety.

I don't know... I think this will be really popular with girls (especially younger) for its "cute" factor. My g/f thinks its adorable...

I'm also quite sure that the iQ will be a first car for many kids with newly-minted licenses. It's easy to park, thrifty, safe and cool. That's a parent's dream.

I am tossed up on whether or not the iQ will sell.
On one hand, its supposedly gonna have great gas mileage and has lots of features standard that the Smart doesn't have standard.
One the other, its still more expensive than the Versa and is still small.
I am going to assume that most consumers will think "small car, small price" and be shocked when they find out that its 14k when the Versa is 10k and has more horsepower and is bigger.
I think that its a great competitor for the Smart Fortwo, but not sure the public is all bonkers over micro-sub-compacts unless the price is also micro-sub-compact. I haven't seen a ton of Fortwo's around here lately if thats any indication.
Maybe the MPG'll win them over though!
