2007 Yaris Price Announcement
This is what bugs me about Toyota's pricing. When you start adding up all the extra packages that everyone can't live without (like power windows, etc.), the pricing isn't so cheap anymore. I can understand getting a base Yaris for 11 or 12k, but after adding the packages, an xA or Corolla start making more sense.
A Yaris Sedan S with Power Package will be basically the same price as a Corolla S or LE (about $15k). For the same price a Corolla will give you more space, more power, and equal or better gas mileage.
A Yaris Liftback with Power Package will be about $12.3k. For $1k more, you can get an xA with more room and just 2mpg less.

I'm hopefully buying the yaris next month, liftback nothing but a cd player.
Oh, and as for the rpm gauges. The sedan has the rpm gauges, i found out that the liftback does not have rpm gauges or shift lights. So basically if you aren't good at driving a manaual don't get the liftback.
mid-march is expected nation wide release, i can't wait to test drive one.
