I have always been a fan of cars with a strong jaw line - which is why i current have an xb, h2 hummer but previously owned an avalanche and a couple of other trucks...

the nose on the xb, to me, doesn't match the rest of the car. it's too rounded and when you simply look at the nose of the xb and the back of the xb, it looks like that dont go together... the nose looks like it was taken from a sedan/car and the back was taken from a minivan...

at least on the current xb, everything is boxy - all around. i think designs like this new xb is what happens when you start taking TOO many peoples ideas into consideration... you begin to dilute what the inital plan was which was to create a car with a single vision in mind....

I think I am definitely a fan of the old xB, the new one looks like that Honda from SEMA that had a tackboard in the middle of it. Its not bad, i just don't feel it, I guess no one can replace the place that the original xB and the xA had in my heart....

 

I don't really get it. I'm a Sales Manager for Scion, and I think I'm going to have a problem selling these to kids. The xB now looks more like any other SUV/ Crossover. It doesn't seem to have ANY of the cool features of the t2B concept (ie. LED headlights, the special doors on either side, etc.) It looks to have the same or similar basic interior fabric/seats. So what makes it so desireable for GenY? Especially that now I think we're going to see even MORE parents/grandparents looking to buy one of these as an inexpensive alternative to an SUV. This makes it even less cool to own. By changing to this design to keep fresh and hip, I think Scion actually did the opposite and made this brand less cool. I was really looking forward to a hot new car. And the xD?!!? It doesn't seem to be much diffent in looks to the current xA, so why rename it xD, and keep the xB with the same name? I'm not happy right now!

 

^^^ Pennscion, I may be buying another xB - preferably brand spanking new. If you can get me a good deal if I pay all cash, let me know. Otherwise, I'm force to buy one with low miles for like 10 grand! lol - have you seen ebay lately?!

glad i have a 1st gen box. i loved it the minute i saw it. this one im not too sure about. ill have to check it out first-hand as soon as we get one in at the dealership.

i wish i could get a new JDM box. ive always thought those were sick.

 

From the bottom of the windows up, it looks like the new FJ Cruiser

 

xA and xB are nothing more then economy cars. but they made it cool to own one. now the xB looks like SUV/minivan, will be priced out of the price point, get crappy mpg and lose its cool factor. and the xD looks like a versa and just screeeeeeeeeeeams economy car. this sucks…all this build up. All the hype. The Miami party. And we get this…sorry im disappointed.

i think 5axis did it no justice...just some crappy extensions of what was there...
and some ____ poor fog lights...

the only good thing they did was the dual exhaust...

new shoes and kit can not change the soul of the car..the windows, roof line, belt line, hood, lights...
a fat girl in a playmate outfit is still a fat girl...

 

this one is better looking imho

 

... but there must have been something about the fat girl to end up on playgirl, right? a good kit, wheels, and maybe paint will focus the concentration more on what had been modded rather than what it came with.

 

hrmmmm.... i sorta like the nose because now i just realized i have two places to mount loud F'in horns to - in an unobstructed way... like on the current xB, there is just one!

I turn 35 in a week. My wife and I are looking at carting the (soon 2b) kids in a bigger car than my Corolla. Considering Seattle's new phenomena of kids being born on the freeway (I-5) we'll need enough room for stir ups as a mod in the back seat.

I was thinking the same thing! But the older Rav-4!

 

Is it me or does the xD looks like a Mazda 3 with Rav4 headlights? Still I think it looks nice and I would buy one if I could.

Now about the new xB I don't like the new appearance The only good thing I see is the HID headlights and the 2AZ-FE engine but then again I don't care for HID's and I already got a 2AZ-FE in my tC!!

All i'm gonna say is i'm glad i bought a 1st gen when i did. Now i have a years worth of payments into it, and i can say that its not going anywhere anytime soon
