it looks like they asked tC owners what they want in an xB, not what xB owners want in an xB.

they should stick with what made the xB so cool! the box look with the crazy mpgs! its not a speed demon, its a box! i dont know if i love or hate, but i dont like that pic. i need to see in person though to really make the call.

i hated the xA & xB when they first came out back in 2004...
but after being around them sooo much, even sellin them for a while...they grew on me...i actually wanted my dad to get a 1st gen xB, just to get rid of that Sienna..
but i might just make him consider the 2nd gen instead

i was even considering of gettin another scion either xAor xB just as a beater car...just b/c i hate drving into NYC

just gotta see it in person, and give a chance...

 

the new xb looks EXACTLY like the t2b in my opinion. i thought they would make the xD really stand out, i figured they learned their lesson from the xA. nope... looks like a rounded nissan versa, looks like a design that kia would use actually. LOVIN the new xB tho, but def. not trading in my first gen xA for an xD... maybe over time it'll grow on me?

They dont need to use the same name for that monstrocity. xB is a box, that is a minivan.....2 totally different vehicles.

 

The new xB is OK, but it's no longer something neat. Now it seems like it's as big & clunky as a Honda Element. Oh well.

 

You can so tell that Scion listened to the xB haters out there who were saying - it's too boxy, it's too flat, etc etc... the other thing, now it has a larger engine that makes like 50 more horsepower... again, catering to those who said the xB was too slow... i dont like the shape of the new one, and the fact that the engine is larger means it's gona use more gas. maybe not MUCH more, but more nonetheless. the nose, i think, is disgusting... =(((

It also looks bigger and since i live in manhattan and have trouble finding parking, that's not good. so many times i've waited as people tried to "fit into" spots and, when they dont, i sneak up and park within seconds... lol! it looks like this box is gona be more of a pain to park than my current =(

I duno... i want to see it in person and have a better opinion of it.. i love the 1st one, i wonder what scion was thinking... im not saying taht i dont like it, but just looking at the initial pics, i find some things that i dont like right off the bat...

I honestly think that when these models start coming out - im going to buy another CURRENT xB - brand new like i did my 1st one - and just keep it as a backup car... lol!

So true! My other car is an h2 hummer, but i've owned a durango, avalanche, grand national, monte carlo, and a couple of other cars... but no car has been as fun to drive as this box is.... =/

I like the XD hopefully It will have more headroom so i can melt the clutch test driving it at the dealership!!! Its tough being a giant, especially a handsome giant!

 

I hate this, and I'm not going to stop hating it.

I'm glad I have a 1st gen xB, and I'll be driving it at least until the NEXT body change.

I don't care what anyone says and I don't care how 'cool' the interior is or how much power they've got...this looks way too mainstream 'out of the box' for me to personally enjoy.

The only thing I can say to Scion is... Thanks for keeping the original xB something that stands out from the crowd.

If I wanted a FJ Cruiser, a TC, or an Element...I'd buy one...not some Frankenstein mishmash of all three.

 

the xd... hmmm... why not just put that bumper on the xa and leave the xa around?

new xb... hmmm... a body kit that will eliminate that front bumper and a good set of shoes and socks... i think the new xb will be ok.

 

Im not to sure about it yet. I saw it when I first woke up this morning and liked it, now looking at it again I dont know. The outside is ok but im wondering about the added storage space.

i know that the value of my xa just shot up with the news of the xd.

 

I really dont either of the new models. THe new xb looks like a small toyota sienna. The xd looks like a toyota Yaris. Where is to SCION originallity that I thought would only get better. I was waiting to buy the new xb but I may just go and get the old one before they run out.

The xB was a HIT. They sold way more than they ever expected... SO WHY THE HELL DID IT NEED SUCH DRASTIC CHANGES?

They may as well call it the tC Wagon...

And people are already "racing" them in these forums. All of the xB essence is gone... That's why it should have a new name.
