Nice. But ... I am not sure what the point of that was ... hahaha.

BTW, the current xB weighs less than the tC by like 500 lbs. 2400lbs v. 2950lbs. That's a big difference. The newer engine won't add that much weight. Oh well. Guess I'll just deal with an xB beating me ... but that is a way away, so I may be F/I by then!!! Woot.

I'd probably wager money that the new xb is at least 400 lbs. heavier than the tc, but what I really want to know, not that I'd get it, is the supercharger an option???

my freind who was at the miami reveal, and who posted on here earlier, said that the xb could come from the factory with the supercharger added already or something like that, or a stock option im not sure

I dont design cars so I dont know for sure but I think the size and class upgrade would increase the weight quite a bit.

Supercharger option would be pretty cool even thought the TRD SC isn't amazing gains or anything unless you mess with it. Hmmmm, I would think since the tCs get them, then so would the xB ...

So, when the weight comes out, we will see, ill win! haha

Scion Jon: It's cool. I totally wasn't asking about the engine, lol. I'm not stoopid!!! hahaha!

Default When does the third generation XB arrive?

Gotta say I am a little dissapointed. That high black grill is UGLY - makes it look so cheap - I know it is an easy mod.
Definately has a Rav4 or Element look to it. Not impressed with the bubble lights.
I will hold my final judgement until I see some more pictures.
Does anyone know if there will be an AWD version?

I second that! the xD looks like it borrowed the headlights off the past Rav-4.

I think the xD looks better than the Matrix or Yaris. I'm sure I'll stop in and check it out when it the local Scion dealer gets some in.

I saw both cars in Miami and yes they looked very cool all modded up. I like my 1st generation xB and I will keep it, BUT if Scion would give me the keys to the new xB I would gladly drive it. I am sure the new models will grow on all of us and I can't wait until the FUSE comes out.

I'm not an xb owner but i think the new xb body style would be accepted if it didn't carry the xb title. In in defense of scion I think it should be given a chance. Hell when the xb first came out I thought it was ugly and the weirdest car i had ever seen, but when I saw what owners were doing to them and changing them I was digging it. I would of got an xb if i didnt get a tc. Give the new xb a chance. The second gen xb might even equal the first gen xb.

xD- Swing and a miss. sorry.

xB- styling looks good. but the 2.4l is a deal breaker. not to mention the HID headlights. i bet this is going to be 18k to start and weight a few hundred lbs more. soccer moms across the country are going to buy it when they cant afford a Rav4 or CRV.

Why did the xB need to be any larger?! i mean really. the rear leg room is huge. if you wanted more storage move the seats up 6in no one would miss it. the 1.8l should have been in the xB also. im glad i got my RS3 xB but i dont for see me buying a new xB unless the interior is amazing. but from those black and white spy shots it looks very minivan-ish.

Likes and dislikes...
Like the black trim instead of body colored a pilars. Dislike the huge c pillars. Like the new front end. Overall nice redo but I'll stick with my true block box on wheels. its the only car I've ever owned that I've truely been satisfied with.. well other than the mr2 (which i still have)

Not bad looking---but has lost the cutting edge boxyness that attracted me to the xB. Will have to see in person I guess.....
