tomas what is the font being used for "life.com" part of the banner?

 

That one I'm not sure of - I'll check with the folks I got that from and see if they can fill me in...

This is quick one for me. I know it's very rough, but I had an idea of using the RS(s) of each model to really open up the color scheme of the site and allow the design to go with any of those...

Personally, I like what we have now. The cartoony silhouettes take less time to load and look cleaner, imho. I like the simplicity of our forum.

 

I just came up with a cool idea, what if we had just 1 scion car for the logo but that it would change with every refresh of the page. I've seen something similar to this on other sites, every time you visit the home page you see a different scion (xA, xB, xB2, xD, or tC). I thinks this would be nice because not only would you have stock photos of scions but you could also occasionally display different user's vehicles too, this emphasizes the fact that ScionLife is a community site.

Optionally, the logo picture would change depending on what part of the forum your in. For example you could have different xB's in the xB section while having different xA's in the xA section.

Any thoughts on this?

My worry on something like that if it pulled car images from members images on SL is that not only are they not all car images, someone could create a real problem by slipping in some **** (and yes, even SL gets **** spammers - I've banned hundreds of them).

Besides, sounds more complex to set up than necessary.

 

What if we had a pool of approved images for the banner, something that the users would submit to mods for approval before being used on the banner? But we don't have to have user submitted content, it can just be 5 permanent pics that alternate randomly. Sorry if that's still too complex, I'm just brainstorming here. I'm not too familiar with the inner workings of websites.

That is what the Scionlife stickers/decals need to look like. those are awesome. If i had anythign better than Paint to design a banner I would but please use this font and style for the Scionlife and make new stickers/decals with this design.

 

i dont understand why the order isn't, xa or xd then an xb tc xb and xa or xd

the two models that are done twice on the outsides and the model thats only been worked once in the middle.

 

I think Sanchez has a good idea. It would have all models represented and would keep changing, just like Scion.
