thanks for the comments, i felt the bottom needed a little color so i added a red line...here is a minor variation

 

all we need now is that same banner, but rendered in diffrent colors, just in case SL changed from red to something else and we can see how it would look.

 

I LOVE it, and if that is the new SL logo, I love it too.

Hey, vvtC! I like the looks of what you are doing there - I massagesd it a little to see what it looks like with cooler colors and less complex choices right in the header (the stuff not in the header would be just under it).

Honestly this is blue sky time right now. It boils down to whether or not something pops up that folks really, really like. If not, the header will likely just stay as is, and the color will continue to be, er, "red"...

 

Any colors are possible, it is just which do people want.

The only thing here that was "my design" was the very first mod in the very first post - all the rest have been me fooling around with other people's ideas just to see if I can get more folks to toss in ideas.

If you are referring to the most recent designs where I have just fiddled with the colors, that's vvtC's design. Gotta give credit where it's due - it's a really nice design IMHO.
