People need to keep in mind here that it's all subjective... beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There's no point in arguing over the looks of the car because there is no right or wrong answer.

I'm going to trade in my '08 tC this fall. I'll make my final decision after I go to the dealer and see it in 3 dimensions. For me, right now it's a toss up between tC2 and the 2011 Ford Mustang that's got the new 305hp V6 engine with mpg of 18/29. Right now I am leaning more toward the Mustang just for the extra power even though the price will be higher than the tC2.

Absolutely BUTCHERED the Fuse. Welp...Scion, i think this is the end of our relationship.

the only way i'd get this new tc is if i could put the money straight up front for the 5 axis version which i can't there for im in no way getting this next tc enough said.

 

i remember how much everyone liked the Fuse. now you have a Fuse and you all hate it? you guys are so naive to think you were getting an exact duplicate of the Fuse....It's funny no one can put a finger in the taillight design. I first thought xD. the back end has the same shape. now all the Scions look the same. The more _____in and moanin i see on theis sight and in this country makes me not want to live here anymore. America has gone just too negative even for me.

 

I am looking forward to doing that, leave the new tC in the dust, I am soo pist at toyota for making the Scion FUGLY. The interior of the my 06 looks so much better.

 

reminds me of the time when homer simpson design a car and caused his brother's car company to fail and go out of business. now i has a sad

overall, it's a nice cheap car and that's all im going to rate it by. i think it's OK. im not jumping up and down about it but im happy they made SOME change to the body after 6 years.....

you have to agree though - reliability + price + options, it beats the hell out of a lot of cars out there. that's why i like scions even though i may not 100% like their looks/certain ways of doing things.

i also agree with the dude that said they probably showed this car to a handful of scion fan boys that said yes i like it in exchange for a keychain. lmaoooo... i srsly wish they allowed consumers to rate designs before actually producing them................ instead of asking us what we want, they're TELLING US what we want.

Looks like a good upgrade. I think some people expect a little too much....

Interior is different but follows the style of the rest of the Scions. It's nice in a way that they are moving away from the conventional waterfall dash.

More hp is always nice. 6 speed, nice. Projectors are great. 3 way front speaker system Makes it much much easier for car audio enthusiasts to install a 3 way front stage system than doing custom work in the current scions and cutting up panels.

Looks are more masculine and look pretty nice to me. Kia forte? I think you are confusing that with a Honda civic whoever mentioned that, hah.

Should be very interesting to get this boosted.

Of course the PRICE will justify all these new features. Back in 05' when I bought my TC 5-speed with lip spoiler for $16,900, that was a great deal for a reliable and sporty coupe. Power everything and lots of complements on the car. I have received countless complements of the paintjob on the car. If the 2nd gen is pricey, well there are many many options out there to consider.

 

One thing I have to ask is what are the production numbers for Scion? I know a couple friends of mine that work at the local Toyota dealership and for the past few months supplies have been limited. I mean if Toyota has cut production then that would explain why sales are so low.

i wasn't feeling the new tc too much, but after seeing your pics im starting to change my mind. It doesn't look bad at all and i really like the 5 axis version(except for the bottom grill... WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? they should a put a mesh grill it would of looked waybetter IMO) cant wait to see in person so I can make up my mind for sure if I like it or not.

 

I saw the tC at the auto show today.. I'm feeling kinda meh about it. It's not horrible, but nothing about it jumps out at me saying "hey you just paid off your 2005 tC come get another car payment with me!"

Also, sad to say that the Toyota FT-CH concept hybrid (I'm interesting in it ok) wasn't at the auto show.. and I don't think the FT-86 was either (forgot to look, I'm bad I know).

and how many of you REALLY buy a 5AXIS kit....really? hardly anyone bought the tC1 kit cuz it's expensive. this one could be twice the price guys. come on!
