I picked up mine on August 1st (after waiting a little over a week on a blue one to come in). I received a voice message from The Scion Guys tonight saying to be watching for a little something extra from Scion (or something to that effect) so I'm hoping this is IT!

They're running out of xBs so quick, I'm having trouble getting an '05 in the color I want! So don't feel bad, it's a reward for taking the risk like I did and waiting.

Now we'll see if it pays off...

Blue Onyx Pearl.
My dealer says he'll try to find one for a swap.
If I can get one tranferred to my dealer that would be great!

Found one! Won't say where until I pick it up though! Let's just say I'll have to make a little trip. It's a big state!

I really don't believe this s***. Why do those of us that are loyal to the company get screwed like this. I didn't get the RS 1.0 cause it got sold while I was making a deal on it. Basically one salesman screwed another, to get the sale and I got crapped on in the end. Then I didn't get the 2004 CD upgrade because I ordered a camo that was supposed to be a 2004, but it came as one of the first 2005s to the dealership. Now this. I'm all about Scion, but this really ____es me off. I don't believe in waiting for that little extra bonus, to get a car I have such a desire for. If Scion is supposed to be so about their customers they should reward those that don't wait, not the cherry pickers. Now I'm not trying to offend anyone, because I know some people want the Scions, but have no way to get it when they want it (finacially not able.) Sorry, this subject is just like picking at a scab that won't heal. I've sent my feeling to Scion already. I know it won't change anything, but I think everyone who feels burned by this should also make their opinion heard to Scion.

If you contact Scion, then you've done the right thing. They need to hear our perspectives on both the good and the bad about the cars, the dealers, and the buying experience. I'm sure they appreciate your input. This rather than just walking to another brand next time you go to buy a car.
I'm not sure what the 'financing issue' you refer to is.

This is a message I just sent them

"I would like to express my opinion about your commitment to your customers and the general disappointment in the Scion community (see www.scionlife.com about Scion Boost anger). Many of us feel that your reward those who are hesitant about buying your cars and shun those who can't wait to buy the next model. Now I absolutely understand the business proposition of the Scion Boost program, but it shows a pure lack of dedication to those who bought your cars early and stayed loyal. You lose customers when they see this deal (probably more than you gain from it in sales), because people like me see that Scion is all about money and could care less about those who care. I would love to see either some special bonus to buying new cars on the market, or a reasonable response as to how you reward loyal customers.

Thank you for your time."

We will see what they say.

The end of the Scion memo has the reminder that dealers "are free to set their own pricing."

Does this mean that if you bought a Scion recently, like say July 29th ( ) that we could go back to the dealership and request the free upgrade to 6 disc?

Pls advise

I just emailed my Scion salesperson to request a swap on the Pioneer 6 disc. Also, sent an email to Scion Boost requesting info on when this program was sent to the dealerships. I missed the incentives by maybe 4 calendar days!

Could've gotten XM 2go with 12 months service!

Let me know what John Elway and Boost says.....I missed this program by less than 1 business day!!!!!

If they had even mentioned it I would have waited until Tuesday to pick my car up!

Well y'all, it's no picnic getting your free stuff either.

First of all I'm having to scramble to get my financing in place now that I know where the car is, since deciding to get an '05 from the '06. There are really very few '05s left! The xB is a very popular car!!!

I'm also having to make the trip out of town TWICE in order that I can SEE the car before coming back to my credit union, signing the papers and going back to get the car! I just don't like the idea of closing on a loan sight unseen.

Not to mention that I'm getting cruise control on it, which I didn't really want, so I'm paying $275 more than I wanted.

Not to mention that you will possibly have to pay taxes on your 'gift'.

So, yes, I get a free gift, but not without some pain.

However, I would be ____ed also if I missed out on the gift by a few days. But a few days could be the difference between complaining about no gift to complaining about no car.

I don't see it as being difficult to get the free gift for someone buying between August 2 and October 15th. Rules are rules and I just missed out by 3 days!

You just happened to have a vehicle that's out of state, and you have chosen to go for it. Not dissin' u, but it's your choice to go it that way. I can't say I would've done the same to get mine. Everyone's circumstances are different when trying to get a Scion--my first color choice was CAMO, but getting one was proving difficult. I ordered BOP instead and had it delivered in 2 weeks. VERY HAPPY with it, have gotten many "thumbs ups" on how cool it looks at night!

I only emailed my dealer to see what they can do. I'm not going to throw a tantrum if they don't agree to do the 6disc swap on my vehicle. I am very happy with the service I got during the transaction, and Elway has been great to work with the past year. They made sure my vehicle was ready to go when I showed up for the closing: I didn't have to wait for installs or anything.

Allison, I'll PM you when I hear back from Pete or Tim. So, it is what it is.
