Redxeth,

GOOD LUCK with getting it done with less pain. Wasn't hatin' when I said you chose to go it your way. Driving that far is more than I'm willing to do for any car.

No prob. I'd be mad too!

It's not that far-- maybe 1hr 45 min away. I said "big state" so people wouldn't know where it was.

I think all 2005 Owners should stand and send emails to Scion...Maybe you will get something for free you never know. If you let your voice be heard we can accomplish something. We were the loyal customers who bought their cars and made them a reputable company when they first hit the states. I mean come on, big or small we all took that risk. And I think we should be rewarded for it. consider my email sent.

My Scion manager has contact his regional manager to see what they can do for me: I requested a swap from the single CD to the 6disc for my xB purchase on July 29th. Hope to know next 48 hours.

Damn! This is the first I've heard about this. I bought mine last year, that sucks.

I could've gotten the mountain bike, the LCD TV, or the Northface package. Sucks!

This is the pretty much BS reply I got from them which didn't even touch on the subject of loyal customers which was, and they knew, the purpose of my email. I'm starting ot get a little annoyed with them because they won't give me a straight answer.

Thank you for contacting Scion.

We appreciate you taking the time to email us with your concerns regarding the Scion Boost Program. In an effort to maintain available space on our dealer's lots to accomodate the new 2006 model launch, Scion has launched a "reward" program to introduce new owners into the Scion family. We apologize, but this promotion is only available for a limited time for new 2005 model year vehicles purchased/leased between August 2nd and October 31st. We thank you for your feedback and appreciate your interest in Scion.

Please feel free to contact us should you have any further questions or comments. We would be happy to assist you. You may contact us directly at 1-866-70-SCION or by email at https://secure.scion.com/scion/ssl/c...contactForm.do

I got the same response, and now I'm ____ed big time. If I could get a straight answer, maybe I wouldn't be so mad, knowing that they at least care enough to send me a personalized e-mail rather than a general response. I'm going to keep on until I can get a straight response from the company, and not in a general e-mail. I hope everyone else will continue to do the same, maybe we can get somewhere as a community.

How do you all think the Chevy, Ford, and Chrysler buyers feel, felt, found, when these companies announced the 'employee pricing' programs? If those buyers are anything like the Scioners there must be a ton of mails being writen.

i agree...but then again I don't thinkg that Chevy, Ford, and Chrysler have the community Style that we do...don't get me wrong...if I'm not mistaken a good number of owners for Scion actually do talk to one another about all cars of the Scion line up...sappy as it is, I'd consider it a family of sorts...o well...if they choose to do something about it..i'll be happy...otherwise..my life won't end.

maybe a dealer can answer this: i ordered my scion xa on july 2nd and i'm still waiting for it (my dealer told me yesterday that it is at the port and should be delivered in another 10-14 days). since i have yet to take possesion of the vehicle and actually sign a purchase agreement (i only signed an order agreement w/ $200.00 down) does that mean that i should recieve this reward ????

No doubt you are right on this - as far as the community/communication goes. Plus, the Chevy, Ford, Chrysler promo was HEAVILY advertised - as apposed to the very quiet way Scion promotes. I have to say this type of covert promoting is a bit anti-Scion-public-marketing. That is, it tends to go against the implied 'one price'. Especially if the promo is 'dealer contributed' like most incentive programs at the 'big three'. Dealer contributed just means the store has less room to work with as some of it is taken up in the incentive up front. If this current Scion promo is totally corporate based, then the 'one price' sort of stands up. Its just that it is 'one NEW price' so to speak

Are you sure it's not an '06? I thought everything coming off the boat were '06s at this point.

If it's an '05, you should be fine. The sale isn't complete until you take delivery.

FYI, this is the response from Scion Customer Experience I received this morning. Have not heard from my dealership's regional, but won't hold it against my salesperson. They made my Scion buying experience fairly easy and very hassle-free.

If I get the 6disc, great! If not then I'll drop it. I think they should reward those people who bought August 1st nationwide, and I know of at least one SL'er in Denver

Dear Mr. McCalla,

Thank you for bringing your issue to light, unfortunately you do not fall within the Scion Boost Reward parameters, hence are not eligible. I apologize for your concerns, and can understand your frustration. In regards to your first inquiry, this program was never advertised due to the fact that it is not a promotional offer nor is it an incentive program.

In regards to your 2nd inquiry, we are not aware of any such offer from the Denver Region as to upgrades to a 6-disc changer. That was a 05’ model year reward program from last year and is no longer valid. Again, I do apologize for your concerns, and hope that we retain your loyalty to the Scion family.

If you have any further inquires, please feel free to contact us at our National Headquarters at 1-866-707-2466, Monday through Friday 5AM - 6PM PST.

Sincerely,

Scion Customer Experience.

Default WOO HOO!

We just got our 2005 Blue Onyx Pearl !

Had to go to Waco twice as I said, but it was well worth it!!

The car was for my wife so I didn't get to drive it home but I was happy for her anyway!

I'd post pictures, but would rather not do it in the 'press release' forum.

Here it is in the 'General xB' forum: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=967020

i believe this topic should be left on the home page for a little longer, instead of being replaced by a post which is basically trying to sell graphics passing itself off as "scion news". (i thought that was against the rules ?!?!)
