geez you guys are harsh...
it's a CONCEPT.. crikey..

the idea is there... and i like it.
(of course i've also had some time to absorb the possibilities of what it looked like from descriptions i got months ago...) but anyway...

give it some time.. and let's not all jump into conclusions so fast... but hey... everyone has their tastes.

you'd have to see the car in person i think to really judge it. (not that i have... but... yanno..)

believe me, this yawn is the only reaction i could come up with
otherwise, i was bored -- nothing new, nothing unique. we've seen all of this before.
where is the surprise, the 'trend-setting' innovation, the 'got to have it' feel?

and he said it had "polarizing style"

once again, i will repeat myself

SCION, STOP GIVING US STYLIZED CARS
and give us polarizing designs

let us create and express our own style to our cars
ease off the heavy-handed frill, and edit edit edit

This thing would be great if it was driving in reverse....make the hood a pickup bed and you'd have a new VW single/double cab....

So ....Tokyo Designed it...thats the problem.....they should have listened here first.

Japanese want to be like Americans so they design something around what looks like a Model T

Americans want JDM...so we have been begging for a cheap RWD compact...hell what about the truck...that would have been better.

I can see this having a lot of potential...but would have to see production model lines before really giving up hope.......
People hated the production models of the G2xBs and xDs....but they are selling...people like ugly...because its attractive....and this thing is FUGLY!

now that's the attitude i'm looking for!

and hey... i'm thinking they took a big risk.. and they knew that.... but whatever... if you don't do it... how would we ever know?

I like it. It's different an funky, but some changes must be made, the windshield needs to be dropped in angle, side mirrors need to be larger, and they need to fix the hood, it just doesnt flow.

Wow...

Looks like they took time to make something good and when they got to the windows and roof, they drew a big rectangle.

Weird and "good-ugly" can work, like the 1st gen xBs and other vehicles. But I think this thing, as it sits now, is too far out there to be successful.

Hey look, the Dodge Nitro!

Cutoff the top of the rear and cover up the rest, and you've got the front of a Rolls-Royce!

Why doesn't Scion just read these forums and give us what we want?

Worst concept ever!

And whoever said it's the new 40's hotrod, Scion's target demo wasn't alive in the 40's and couldn't care less about hotrod styling. If we did, we'd skip Scion and just buy SSRs, HHRs and PT Cruisers already.

This is a huge let down.

Wow, Scion Corp really took the whole "weird and distinctive is good" argument to heart with this one, eh?

Well, at least no one can accuse them of just building the same thing over and over. That front perfectly vertical windshield makes it look like an old-timey Ford Model T or something.
