Unfortunately, you have to have an Aston already sitting in your driveway. No sneaking in on the bottom rail unless you already own one. I believe the first run has been spoken for.

Ya.... Not so much. You do know that Hybrids are total carbon loss right? When you take everything that goes into making a Prius it's like driving a Hummer.
Just sayin.

The Scion iQ would the states even later than we thought, thanks to Toyota parts, misery. Now Scion says the small car that was allegedly bow late this summer, has been postponed indefinitely.

Scion brass will not occur if the iQ will actually start to speculate, which makes sense, since Toyota has yet figured out if they are planning a full production after the earthquake again. The current word is that in North America iQ can not hit dealers until early 2012. This shift is, the second time launch of the Scion iQ, and the third time, the company has reportedly postponed his mind about selling the car before timing changed.

PRius drove 7 hours and less than a tank of gas. Chicago to Indy and back on $40. The hell with carbon loss. Takes my xB and xD two tanks. One down and one back. $80. Sorry to argue, but the hybrid's are cheaper to operate. oil change every 10K too.

So, back on topic.
Has anyone heard when this going to be released? Is it still July?
I think we all agree that Scion dropped to ball on this one. There was a lot of hype and talk when it was going to be released in January, but no one seems to care right now.
Someone said that they pushed it back because they wanted the lime-light for the new tC. Well, I think it worked, no one care about the iQ.

It's been delayed indefinitely.

The Scion iQ will be getting the States even later than we thought, thanks to Toyota's parts supply woes. According to TheDetroitBureau.com, Scion now says the microcar, which was supposed to bow late this summer, has been postponed indefinitely.

Scion brass won't speculate on when the iQ will actually be launched, which makes sense since Toyota hasn't yet figured out when it can resume a full production schedule post-earthquake. The current word is that North America's iQ might not hit dealers until early 2012. This postponement marks the second time Scion has delayed the iQ's launch, and the third time the company has reportedly changed its mind about the car's on-sale timing.

Get it right. Scion didn't drop the ball. America crash standards screwed them up. Then a tsunami came along and wiped out NE Japan. no need to hate Scion because of our own crash standards and natural disasters. If Toyota can't pass crash tests with this car, it makes me wonder how Smarts are getting by now

I think that is where my confutation was coming from. Scion.Com and the Toyota/Scion news room still has this posted as early 2011 as the release date.
And, don't get me wrong JDMJim, I love Scions. I just would have thought they would test the safeties a long time ago. They could have brought some over from Japan to see how they were in our safety tests.
