I wonder what Scion is thinking. If XBs end as 06 model and its replacement doesn't appear till 08's come out. TCs and XAs will still be around, but XBs are a big part of their sales. Doesn't seem to make good business sence to me. Am I missing something?

Also, as far as xB's being a big part of their sales, I think they've sold less than 200;000 since 2003. I think they have some room.

The proposed equipment list is not impressive at all. I mean, not even a little bit, but what can you do, the paint is crazy expensive. I can't go into details, but the color, and the fact that it's the last RS box are the big deals on this one.

OMFG .. I love reading this stuff .. most of you are insane .. LOL
-Fact - Production of the xA & xB will cease in December.
-Fact - Current inventory will stretch until May or June.
-Fact - The 08's will be released in May then June/July 07 respectively, with the xB coming first
-Fact - Scion will introduce an xD model, once all four are in production we will see a brand new version of one of the four every year, giving the models a four year run no matter how popular.
-Fact - All Scions will remain well under $20K because it is thier philosophy and the way they do business
-This is the way you stay edgy and always keep a popular and high demand product.
Now they have done a real good job on keeping a lid on everything, but if you guys are paying attention, they are doing a contest for trips to Miami. Why? It's just HIN right ? Wrong ... there is strong possibility that the new models will be revealed to the public for the first time there.
How do I know this ? I work for a dealership, and also get information from our distributor who I am close with.
Dealers will take deposits on the RS 4.0 and xA RS, I know we do. There is no set rule though. Some will take $200 or go as high as $500, to gauge commitment. Fortunately the South East, my district is and has always been #1 in volume sales since Scion was introduced, therefore we will always have better allocation than anyone else. Hope this puts out some flames ..

tC: Expect a five-year model cycle with a redesign arriving in early 2009 as a 2010 model. For a hint of future design ideas, check out the Fuse concept coupe from the New York auto show.

Yeah but remember the tC was released alot later than the rest of the scions. But doesnt explain the 5 year thing...

Put those details together and you get closer to the truth ... the new tc would not be introduced as a 2008, the same year as the xA and xB redesigns, therefore a 2009 tC would make for an initial 5 year run, then the xD perhaps in 2010, then all four models are available. At that time a four year run is definately plausible recycling a model every year thereafter, ergo .. original plan ...
So those speculations could end up being correct ... and I'm trying not to guess here, I work for Scion .. so we pass on info that is given to us as fact at the time it is delivered.
