Exclamation ScionLife.com Recent Problems

Information from Internet Brands...

As part of the implementation of the resolution you may have encountered some issues with the site and its functionality, we are working through each of those items, and if you come across an issue, if you could please post it in the help forum to ensure that we have seen it, it would be appreciated.

I dunno... if its not one thing with IB its another... so many of the OG's over here have abandoned ship and only a select few of us remain crazy enough to stay here... there were so many useful threads one year ago, now its all spam and noobs that wont search. Yea VB is a nice upgrade from what we had before, but what we had was simple, easily run, AND IT WORKED

after doing a little search of our beloved IB and the admins that have come up over here, I think that we are pretty much forked!

http://www.theadminzone.com/forums/f....php?aid=56513

And I wonder if the heads over at IB cannot understand that the people are angry, if this was the middle ages we would have beheaded them a while ago...

FYI, your following this perfectly

Yes I had issues getting logged in, but since have been resolved, however I am still experiencing an issue with our vendor status not being indicated.

Marvin, you have an email from me. Give me a call so we can discuss the new sponsorship setup IB has put in place. Thanks!

hm, an unnecessary 'upgrade,' from an elegantly simple start, leads to mass desertion and eventual fail?

i suppose it's only right the forums follow the brand...

Well, I kinda agree with what Tomas said about the upgrade, IB was not familiar with what we had prior to VB and they were lost with it, and that is what led to the original problems. but apparently, IB isnt too good with VB or Server Security.

Also this is Chris w. From Weapon-R. We recently did sponsor the forum like stated in the OG days, and it was great. Also i am aware some still do get the cheap (OG) price on being a sponsor on the forum. When we contacted IB to become a sponsor we were given a 3 digit number per month from IB! When we use to be at 3 digit per YEAR to sponsor the forum! I understand that this site has gone with IB but comon times are tough, and you want to increase a sponsorship package by at least a couple thousand per YEAR!

We are discussing it as I do not agree with the cost of sponorship especially when they have stability problems

Hi, Chris!

I'm familiar with the order of magnitude change in minimum sponsorship fees that Internet Brands instituted (roughly a ten time increase at the minimum sponsorship level!), but they don't let any of the ScionLife.com people touch any of the money, and we have no say in how much they charge.

I suspect that many of the OG sponsors do not see a corresponding 10 time increase in the ROI or in the quality of the site, especially since some of what we did have, that attracted and maintained membership, is not necessarily working well.

I hope you and Weapon-R hang around and work with your customers here, even if you can't justify the 10X cost for sponsorship.

(Prices are solely IBs responsibility, and any discussion of their pricing has to be taken up directly with them: autoadvertiser@internetbrands.com or 888-879-0146 )

Sorry I can't help with that, Chris.

Tom
