oh yea - surely things are quicker. Just the slowness alone made a lot of people leave the site ....now that that problem has gone away (or atleast decreased) that will be a huge plus. I think this site is #1 and is the only one i have kept using for the past few years.

One thing I think should be fixed is that after you post - have it stay at the next screen and not automatically refresh back to the thread screen. I think that posting and having it reload right away is adding more strain that is not needed. Some people post and then minimize their window - in this case they can click the link to refresh to the thread when they wish instead of have it hammering the server via everybody who posts a message. Hope that was semi clear.

It's clear and not a bad idea. However, with forums, the amount of posts is a tiny fraction of the number of thread views, so the load from automatically reloading doesn't significantly impact performance.

Will the issue of being logged out when clicking your profile change?

I just clicked mine and it didn't log me out, so it sounds like you might have a bad cookie in there. You might want to delete any cookies you have for scionlife/toyotalife/lexuslife, clear your cache, and restart your browser.

I do that, and it works for about 2 days. Then it happens again. Been like this on every computer I have ever used.

Tons of threads around about it.

I will try it now tho, since the change has been made.

Yup! Haven't heard of that not working to straighten things out. Seems some browsers have an ongoing problem with cookie handling.

I've never had the "It logs me out!!!" problem, but have heard it many, many, many times, mostly from IE users. (I use Firefox, Seamonkey, Camino, or Safari, depending on what my focus is at the moment. Firefox is my default.)

Whatever the cause for the browser corrupting the cookies, it does happen, and clearing the ScionLife cookies does clear the problem.

Whoops! Choosing a tech article to view in a new window loops right back to the same tech page in a new window for me. Same for you?
