the IQ is actually a 4 seater.. with a tiny trunk.. but you can flip up the back seats to make another "trunk" behind the front seats.. its basically like a smashed rear end yaris where you have to scoot up to give the person behind you leg room..

i think the new tC should be nice.. just give it some time.. not everyone likes change.. i for one think that this car will sell.. just as long as it doesnt have that hako front windshield.. once you see this car in person.. or final production.. im sure quite a few minds will change in here

the 2.0 will be a great motor to play with.by the time is comes to us it should have quite a following of parts from Japan.

What's with some of the hate for the boxer engine in this thread? I'd take it over our Camry engine.

I'd expect it to look like the FUSE concept, except with more Subaru styling. Because it's a joint-design, isn't it going to share joint design cues?

And can a mod please delete that Rolls Royce picture?

^ that's just a test mule, from what i herd it used legacy body parts, its not the actual body work that will be on the car even if it is all covered in all them pads and stuff.

they do this to test the engine and chassis of the car.

I think this will be great for people who know how to drive RWD cars and it will def have ALOT of potential. However letting a 16 year old get ahold of this car would be catastrophic.

Lets just hope they dont put a glass roof on it again.

Won't be any different than giving a 16 year old a new V6 mustang.

only thing i would wait for this car is that its a RWD, other than that, its not that much a of an eye opener for me, just because its basically a Civic Si with 200hp an such.

might as well save up and get another power car. lol

why so much excitement for it to even be RWD anyway? does it really matter that much? just got buy a Genesis. it will roll a tC replacement just having a turbo engine. cheaper to work with

just a healthy amount of brand loyalty. toyota is a great car maker and they really won me over with the tc, but as owners started getting really into cars, they begin to realize the limitations of front wheel drive, and want a true sports car platform, of which has very little to offer aside from the lexus is and toyota x-runner. so many tc owners left toyota for a nissan z, or mitsubishi evo, or subaru wrx. if toyota really does bring this car to market, it will be great! besides, hyundai sucks period, doesn't matter how much value they give you for the money, they will always be seen bargin budget keep cars. nobody will ever say "when i strike it rich, i'm going to buy the finest hyundai money can buy!"

I'd rather stick with the tC. Really, it all depends on what you wanna' do with your Car. Half of these People all just want a Car for it's Name. How many REALLY know enough to Build their Cars up? What's the Purpose of having a 300-400whp FR Car for unless you're gonna' go to the Track? FWD is the Queen of the Highway anyways.

tanner signing on to drift a scion now wasn't your first clue? (tanner currently rallies a subaru, and with the forthcoming US version of TopGear his presense makes him very marketable)

Shouldn't replace the tC imo. Cut the tC's production by 65% and introduce this under another name (rE maybe? E being the next in line after D, and R.. because RWD? lol I dunno.) I can see the ads now rEinvent and other things like that. It'd be great if it came Super/Turbo charged as an option from Scion but seeing as how Subie is going to do it I don't think it'll happen. People will probably grab the Scion version, buy Subie parts (when they have more cash) and tune it up. Too bad Scion won't get the AWD version though, that'll push a lot of people towards Subaru :/

i wouldn't doubt that they would have the whole turbo setup from the Subaru as an additional option and dub it the TRD turbocharger kit. this way they can sell a base car and keep the price of it under 20k while still offering a performance add on for the people that want to dish out the extra money.
