Why? The tC was one of about half a dozen cars to meet the most demanding roof-crush standard ever proposed. An upside-down tC can support four times its own weight...glass or not, Roof: You're Doing It Right.

Having said that: if you people get a real-life RWD sports car for your "remake" after WE Gen 1 people got a baby Highlander with a gland problem, I am SERIOUSLY going to key some cars.

I'll believe it when I see it. Word is the next tC is based off the fuse (fwd), not the co-op with subaru. BUT if by some chance, some tiny little chance, it comes here...i'll get it in a heart beat!

sorry, the Genesis is 3300+ pounds, and was made to compete against the Mustang, Camaro, etc. No thanks.

Give me a lightweight, 2+2 (2 seater would be fine too), RWD that weights around 2700lbs and has 200hp. Oh, and a 6sp please. I'm sick of buzzing at 3500rpm on the highway....

Rumor has it that Nissan is also working on something similar, so if the Scion comes out bloated like the Genesis I know who I'll be cross-shopping.

YES! all scions need a 6sp imo. Doing 75 shouldn't put you that high on the tach

The Glass roof pops when going over speed bumps, and rattles when in open position. Cool looking - sure.
Can withstand a lot of weight - sure.
Bad design - yes.

You do realize that a car like this would be basically defecating on the Scion brand image they've been trying to build up for the past 4 years, right?

It probably won't be as safe as other Scion's, if you're just looking for a tC with 200lbs removed... and it probably won't be as cheap as other Scion's, if you're looking for a 6sp 200hp engine.
