since they state itll come around 200 hp....you think iltll be the same motor as the wrx? or does it stay n/a
Just curious whats so bad with the name "Scion" and the emblem? Considering your vin numbers have toyota emblems your engine cover has a toyota emblem and the windows say toyota on them what is the difference?

Never heard of anyone buying a car because they liked the companies emblems

I like [: makes the tc look more of a scion than a reg. toyota (not that it matters with the current 1 [: ). wayyyy better than the fuse/haku

We have a long time before there is any news on this - it would be nice if they would spill all the juice on this model at the NY auto show next year ....that means we would know more info in only 4 months from now

Sorry kids, not gonna happen. Heard from an Inside source at Scion that this is nothing more than a rumor.

but there were just webpage posts saying how it is going to happen and its 100% true ..... go figure. I guess we have to wait till next year and see whats up. What we do know is that KIA and Hyundai are comming out w/ some pretty bad azz cars that are going to be better then the tc ...so i dont think scion has a choice. .....and this is comming from someone who is surely a pro scion kinda person.

RWD, under $21,000 projected starting price, 200hp boxer engine? Sounds good to me! I'm waiting on this one or the new RWD Hyundai Genesis 2 door that's supposed to come out around the same time. Finally we're beginning to see sub $25,000 RWD entry level sports cars!!

yeah this def wont be the replacement tC. a rather big birdie told me. however Toyota DOES admit now to working with subaru on a project between the two companies. dont look for it to have a scion emblem in the grille tho. the production cost is too high. and thats the real.

They had told everyone that since beginning of year. That has never been a secret or anything. Your big birdie just told you very old news. From the get go they stated that they are working on a light weight rwd car to be priced at or below 20K. The original story was that they were going to offer it as the new celica in Japan and as a Subaru everywhere else. The new rumor now is that it will be sold here as a Subaru and as a tC.

Anyone can say that their birdies told them big news. Back it up with facts then people will believe whatever the birdie has told you.

honestly don't care whether it's Scion, Toyota or Scoobie. there's positives (and negatives) for each, although I think Toyota/Scion would be stupid not to jump at the chance to have a fun, lightweight, RWD coupe under the Scion brand. Yes, it's out of their target price demographic, but only barely. Plus the model style fits in perfectly with the fun/lightweight/small cars that currently make up the Scion line. It's not like it's some honkin' SUV (cough cough, Saturn, cough cough).

Only time will tell, and with the 30-40% declines in car sales that's going on right now who knows what the automakers are going to do...

Motor Trend Car of the Year my friend. altho I've seen a pic of the 4door new GTR and I'm not a fan. Not of that or Infiniti's version either. watered down businessmans sedan. Scion won;t be giving us a two seat coupe either. don;t get yer hopes up too much for the new car
