Default [help]Cutting the gfx LIP for VRD!

Heres part of the instructions I got from VRD on how to cut the gfx Lip to fit their foglights.

As you see in the picture, they instructed to only cut the sides of the vent after measuring and such. I did that and it didnt work. The amount of space between the foglight and the bumper was not enough for the thickness of the lip. The lip will slide in, but it progressively gets tighter to the point where the lip will not fit anymore.

I was wondering if others had this problem? Did you guys cut the bottom of the U-shape (circled in green)?

help please!

Yes, put the lip on first, then the fogs. It may be a pain, and you may find that you have to cut more, but that's how I did mine. You don't have to cut the bottom of the lip, just the sides circled in red in the 2nd and 3rd pic.

how can you put the lip on first? In the picture, the foglight is tucked behind the lip.

do you guys have the lip+foglights yourself personally?

Lmfao I didnt know you were supposed to cut anything. I just installed mine TONIGHT and got done like literally 10 minutes ago. I noticed that they didnt really design it for the lip kit... but I just used a little imagination (more forcing than anything) and they seem to be in there pretty well.

Yeah, I heard you can bend the bracket of the light to make it fit with the lip. IMO, I'd rather just take the time to make a clean cut. It sits much more flush with it cut. And SoleLaced, the fog only looks like it sits "behind" the lip because the sides are cut. The bottom of the lip slides under the fog, so it's only really behind it where it is cut.

Yeah Ill take pictures of it. To be honest they could sit more flush without cutting BUT, you cant tell at all unless your looking for it!

I took pictures of it but my camera is... not next to me. Anyways the gap is pretty large... but to be honest unless you get on your knees and bow down to my car (which I have yet to see but that'd be awesome and hilarious) you can't even tell theres gaps.... I'll post pics in the next few days.
