i was wondering if making little slots in the rings would help defract the light a lil better? i think it helps, could be wrong tho...

I do that for the previous rings in the older headlamps, once i get time i will figure out what is best for the smaller rings in the 08's. One thing that is with these is that they are decoration, best seen close up or in range, they will not brighten up the road or anything like that, so there is really no need for brighter.

Just wanted to give a little update for you guys. I got the acrylic rod today. They are going to look really good I think. To answer chubbykai yes the slots will make light refract better. I plan on making these cuts to the rings. Hopefully I will get to start fabricating the rings tomorrow. I will post another update if I start working on them. Take care guys and gals.

DUDE!!! You totally stole my idea!! j/k. I am sooo glad someone else is on the same mindset as I am! I have some of my own ideas and as soon as I get my '08 headlights from SOMEONE, then I'll post up a thread just like this or within this one. My best wishes are to you bud, and I will definitely be watching this thread closely!

I do have one question, those chrome rings on the headlight already...do they come off at all or can they come off?

Word of advice, I would do your cuts while the acrylic rods are straight, its a lot easier to make them equally distant from one another.

Not a problem buddy. Since you and I are on the same page, I figure I'd help out as much as possible. Keep us updated!

i have a question for you guys who are familiar with the 08 headlights. how hard would it be to swap out the projector for a tsx one? would you have to do any fabrication, or would it just involve drilling some holes to mount into. i love the look of projectors, but i don't have the confidence or patience to retrofit my reflector headlights. i also don't have the money to have someone do it for me.
