Hey guys,
Got a quick questions for you. I have searched and came up with nothing to answer my question. Trying to upgrade the tail lights on an 05 TC to an 08, but when I got the light out and got the new lights in, the reverse light socket did not match up. The 05's socket is much smaller than the 08's. Where can I buy a socket that will fit the 08 tail lights, or is there a number that I am supposed to be searching for? I am assuming that would be the easiest way to do it, just to wire a new socket to the 05's harness.

the light socket is indeed different. i suggest going to the dealership

 

i got an 06 tc the harness just plugged into to 08 lightz nd they work jus fine.

 

Sounds like you didn't get the 3 bulb harness. When I sold my '08 tails I sent the 3 bulb harness with mine. The multi-pin plug is the same on all years tC, I think.

right i did not get the bulbs with it, just the tail lights no harness.

damn dat suckz u gonna have to dealer for the harness but the bulbs from an 05 light should fit the 08 they the same bulbz jus in different places

yea thanks, i figured out that 2/3 fit the 08 lights, the reverse socket does not. Thats what im asking about, Im gonna have to call up a dealer and get a quote on this ****

the dealership will have to order it because they probobally don't keep one in stock. if you decide to go this route, take your tail in with you when you pick it up, to make sure it fits.

you might checkout a junkyard as well.
