it won't melt, but will die much much earlier than it normally would. LED are very sensitive to heat and the headlights gets pretty toasty

do a search. i remember reading many have had their parking light LEDs died in weeks or months. normally LEDs lasts years when operating in its normal temperature range.

2 of the 6 led bulbs in the led are dead in both of my parking lights so i swapped them for the license plate ones. it doesn't last too long but im waiting to put on some demon eyes to replace the leds.

Hey maximus, are you really getting the fogs that i got? good luck with em and i wanna see how ya mount them.

I had UV leds in there, and 2 of the 4 failed on one side. I then swapped out to a 1-led hyper white. Before those failed, I swapped back to a green incandescent bulb and put the hyper whites in for the rear license plate lights.

I also do my LED business throu autolumination.com since superbrightleds.com's quality isn't what they used to be.

Any of you have real HIDs in your car and have the LEDs fail? Wondering if the tempature is any lower with HID compared to Halogen

one of my friends tried this. all six leds in one headlamp died within a couple weeks. i wouldnt waste money on this kind of mod.. just find a new replacement bulb.
