the cutoff looks like the manufacture was drunk during the design or construction or somebody is playing a horrible prank on everybody else. you'll be blinding everybody with the crazy twisted projectors. the cutoff is suppose to be flat across, not a V shape.
FYI

not ragging on ya, just wondering if I'm thinking the wrong thing.
wiping drool of mouth**** (thanks for the seizure)
but i think maximus's projectors have that two step line is:
1) they are aimed to the right, like all cars in US should be
2) he is far from the wall...pull in a little closer and he would be straight

Now for these projectors from ebay. Now what I am about to say is going to come across kinda harsh but I am going to say it anyway and hope you will forgive me. It is a bit embarrassing to read how impressed the members of this forum are with this product and its cutoff. Now I will admit I was surprised with the sharpness. And I don't want to come off like I was never a HID noob myself. But this is precisely why people should do lots of research before deciding to go HID. Its funny because I can remember thinking maximus was cocky the way he would always post exactly what I'm about to say in all the HID Kit forums, but after doing the research I was thankful for that bit of doubt he placed in my head that kept me afraid of buying a kit long enough to do some thorough research. Thanx MAX! Anyway, its been said but both projectors are tilted inwards. But I don't think people are realizing how telling and important this little fact is.
#1 you will blind all oncoming traffic worse than you would have with a kit. The left side of that cutoff is so high above eye level, and the further away you are the higher it will go, worse than high beam. At least with a kit you have glare above eye level, which is less intense then what is shining on the road. With these projectors you will be projecting light directly into the faces of oncoming traffic.
#2 you will completely diminish the light directly ahead of you where you need it most. With the 2 cutoffs pointing inward, the light will shine down the road the furthest on the edges and the least far in the middle, which is exactly the opposite of what Headlights are intended to do. Of course you will probably attempt to correct this by aiming them higher and even further blinding onco0mming traffic.
#3 and most important of all, what does this incorrect positioning say about the manufacturer. Any idiot who designs a light will have as his first goal, a level cutoff. Even reflectors are able to achieve this. There is in no way the Department of Transportation saw those cutoffs and approved them. Therefore how can we trust a company that says there product is DOT approved and yet looks like this? If the average Joe retrofitter can look at 2 cutoffs and line them up, why would I pay hundreds to a company that sells headlights yet does not understand this concept. I don't know what is worse. A company whose lights are bad quality, so the projector alignment was not done properly on a couple of products. Or stupidity, a company who lined these projectors up purposely wrong because they thought it would be cool looking. Not to mention the beams do not seem wide at all.
That's just my 2 cents. Sorry for the long rant. As hot as this thread is, I'm sure by the time I finish typing 10 people would have already said this in 20 different post. Either way, I won't say the product is crap, because the cutoff is better than most. However, for that price you would think they would have done some research to know how to align projectors. To pay 400$ and still have to bake them to crack them open and rotate the projectors, might as well do a retro. Also pictures need to be taken at least 25 feet away. Unfortunately, this will probably only serve to magnify the problems of this projector. Save your money folks.
good post
yes i did say teh cut off was pretty decent, but i hafta agree with the man above about the alignment of the cut offs
im s ure people will be blinded to the fullest with these XD

This requires a DOUBLE
thanx to this sort of review. i was highly considering on buying these first projectors for the tC but now, considering that workmanship should have a price. these proejctors shouldn't be worth no more than $250. I'll wait for something better.
I feel really bad like I just cost some company some money.
Oh well, making sure the community is not taken advantage of is more important. My suggestion to those that really want Hid projectors, start researching and buying parts while you wait for umnitza or some other companies to provide better options. If a decent set of projectors actually does come out, you can unload any parts that you purchased on ebay really quickly. I've sold HID projectors I wasn't using on ebay before and none of them have gone a full 24 hours without being snatched up. At the same time you will be so much more knowledgable, and maybe gain the confidence to try to retro yourselves. Good luck!
lol yeah.. i will tonight...
but i will be doing a halogen review for today, unless i can buy another replacement bulb for my HID(which i knw this headlight wont be taking 9006 bulb.) which i doubt i can find a store.
^_^ ill keep you guys posted. im at work right now and i cant WAIT to get home. i'll make a review about my thoughts in this product. using a normal halogen bulb. and when i get my replacement HID bulb ill do review on that too. and see if i can align these lights too
