1st tC WITH ANGEL EYE PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS w/ HID
i can't belive you want to get rid of the projector's already! Do you need the money that badly or is there something wrong with them we should know about? Also, what do you miss about the 12k, aren't the 8k much brighter?
Just wanted to drop a line about these. I got these in about 3 days ago. Figured I'd share an opinion...and hopefully won't get bashed by the others in this one.
All in all the lights don't seem to be that bad. Yes, I also had a problem with the same mounting screw...and with the cutoff...but all in all I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 in the quality arena. Just my opinion. They are very difficult to adjust (the aiming of the light that is) without taking the entire light assembly off the car. As for the plug and play...like most halo projectors I've found in the aftermarket world...you do have to do some basic wire splicing to connect them to the parking light harness...mine didn't just plug in to anything. The halo ring lights up decent, but definately could be brighter... For what it's worth I got several compliments from other tC owners in the area already.
I'm going to try some stuff with the cutoff line. Anyone that works on retro kits or anything like that, I need a little input. What exactly in the light produces the cutoff line? If it's in the projector lens itself...maybe I can rotate the lens and correct it from the inside of the housing?...?
Also, in some of the papers that came with my lights, it specifically states they are not compatible with HID bulbs... But I read people are trying it...any luck with that?
Nakioki - let me know if you try to replace your halo ring LEDs and let me know how that goes...thx.

This is similar to what the projector inside of your housing will look like. You more than likely will not be able to rotate the shield because it is held in place by the two parts of the projector. The reflector bowl and the part that holds the lense. You will need to bake open your lights, which is not complicated or as scary as people say, its very simple and there is a DIY on this site. Tou will need to remove the projectors and rotate them clockwise and counter clockwise respectively untill they are horizontally straght. Then mount them again so they can't move, reheat and seal them. Probably a weekend project. And you might want to get a portable car jumpstarter from home depot so you can power the lights indoors and will not have to do the adjustments while the lights are on the car. Hope this helps. If you need me to explain anything further let me know.
