I have them, but have not installed them yet. I can tell you, that they are definatly not plug and play! They dont even come sealed. They come with a note that says that they are not waterproof and you must seal them yourself. Secondly, you dont just plug in wires int the back, there are individual wires you have to wire up for the halos and other Leds. Anyways Im done with all of my finals, so ill have more time to work on this.

I can attest that there are wires that need to be spliced into the parking lights to run the halos and led's. However, mine did not come with anything saying they are not waterproof or that you have to seal them yourself.
As anyone following my posts knows its been raining nonstop here for the past week and my car sits outside on my driveway all day... 0 problems with condensation or anything of the sort. I believe an earlier post stated that he poured a bucket of water on the lights to test their seal and they were fine as well.
PS- I don't think the headlights are stated to be plug n play-- just the HID kits

I dont remember if these lights were advertised as plug and play, but I was just giving everyone a warning so they would know what to expect.

Secondly, there should have been a paper that came with your lights that stated that the lenses were not sealed properly, and to insure a proper seal, to get some clear silicon sealant and put a thick bead between the clear lens and the black backing. It should have been with the same papers as the wiring diagram for the halo and leds.

Where did you get your lights from. Because i already know that K2motor screwed me over as far as not giving me the lighting instructions. Either way, my lights did not have any space that i could even add sealant to. But whatever, like i said i have had no problems.
Good luck with yours

wow... 25 pages is a lot to read. for a while, my brain hurt with all the bashing...

ANYWAY, i also have these lights. i got 'em a couple days ago. i love how they look. some don't but isn't that what scion is all about -- personalization?

nakioki, thanx for posting the tip about removing the fuse box. next time i am aligning the lights (cause they are not quite right) i'll do it that way. tonight what i did was just pop the front bumper loose on the driver's side and slid the light in and out while adjusting it. total pain but ultimately i got the alignment to be better. passenger's side light i was able to adjust without removing anything. unfortunately, i have no benchmark to know how they SHOULD be aligned, so i just guessed.

i agree with what some others have said about fit and quality; 7 or 8 out of 10. it's not oem quality but then -- at the price, it's better than most. i've been very disappointed with other aftermarket stuff in terms of initial quality and longevity (on both my cars), so i can tell these lights are decent.

i dunno about this sealing issue. my lights didn't have any note saying the sealant was bad.

i haven't gotten the best photos, and i'm not going to bother with cut-off pics since that's been done to death. the cut-off is the cut-off. but here's how the lights look on Koji:

as for wiring... it's not hard at all. and i know exactly why the manufacturer couldn't pre-wire the LEDs/halos to a plug-and-play connector... there isn't a receiving connector already on the tC. the lights are designed so that the factory turn signal and parking/marker lights simply "plug" in. the high/low beams have a factory-compatible plug, too. so splicing is needed if you're going to add extra lights. that makes perfect sense.

i chose to change up the illumination of everything. i didn't like the turn signal eyebrow. so, i spliced both bulbs in the eyebrows to be my parking lights. then, i wired the LEDs and yellow side marker light to be my turn signal. the halos I put on the same switch as my interior cold cathodes. that way i can leave the halos and interior lighting on without the key when i go to night meets.

overall, i am thrilled with the lights. they don't deserve the bashing that some people have posted here. if they are not to your taste, and you'd rather have a more oem style light (such as what umnitza is doing), then cool. do it. no reason to hate on someone else's style choices.

Wow, you guys are not very smart. Do you know anything about the show scene? Doesn't matter, those arent even bucket seats, not like you'd know anything about them. They're kick @ss name brand seats.

If you have the ***** to diss those seats then you are seriously retarded. -Anyone that knows anything about these seats know that.

Noticed the middle section of your undercar light beam missing.
You must have something over your light strip or you have some LED's
inoperative.

So moose,
A. It took you that long to respond with a comeback and that was the best you could come up with?
B. I love how your seats are acceptable in the "show car scene" but the most custom lights on the market are poser. Anyone at a show would be more impressed with these lights than your useless seats.

the bulb in the eyelid is the parking light bulb and the turn signal. you can take off the parking light bulb, and leave the turn signal bulbs

Looks like these lights are catching on a little... Nice picks Zack...

On the sealant issue...mine came with a little paper in the box saying they needed to be sealed...I just got some clear silicone at the local Home Depot and squeezed it into the space between the clear cover and the black plastic. Mine is doing just fine with our rain.

My lights have a sticker on them that specifically says no HID...how are you all with HID bulbs liking them? Have you noticed any distinct problems...other than the dark spot. Any plastic melting or anything crazy like that?

anyone who wants to know about me and blackonblacktc, just private message either (or both) of us. it's not for the forum, despite his post.

as for the bronze rims, that's temporary. i'll be painting them to match the coming 2-tone (july 6 is when the tC goes to the body shop). but i happen to like them brozne, too.

my LEDs are all misaligned -- my own fault. i stole 2 of the tubes (1 from each side) to make a kit for the miata and i completely f-ed up the front alignment while taking off the bumper to install the lights. if you look, i tried to at least straighten-out the tubes in-between shots. lol.... i've just been lazy and haven't committed the $ to replacing the side tubes. they are each 10" long.

i agree, the new projectors do add to the volvo look. but i've felt like the volvo and tC were sort of "fraternal twins" for a while now. the similarities, especially in the front, are quite remarkable. i was driving yesterday evening and saw a 5-series bmw and realized that was the model that vertex (or whoever) was using. the 5-series has an eyebrow which flashes as the turn signal and has halos around the headlights.

as for the projectors... mine do have a "do not use HID" sticker on them. my guess is that people using HID are just doing it and living with whatever consequenses might happen. technically our oem lights are not rated for HID, too. but lots of people are going HID. chances are that the sticker is there for legal reasons only.

i have been thinking about changing the wiring again so that the turn signal IS in the eyebrow (it isn't now). but then i wouldn't leave the parking light up there too. for me, i want the eyebrows to be dark except when flashing as a turn signal OR on all the time (not as a turn signal). it's simple wiring and will take me about 10 minutes to do, so i might play around with it sometime. having the eyebrows lit or not will totally change the look of these lights, so it's cool to have the option.

oh and the hood is from AIT racing.
